W Lawrence was born in San Francisco, California, and moved two dozen times before settling in Pennsylvania with his extraordinarily patient wife and two precocious daughters. He finally got his wish and balanced out the hormonal levels of his house by getting a boy dog. He worked for nearly twenty years as a professional interrogator in both the U.S. military and the world of corporate security before hanging up his hat.

Lawrence is obsessed with zombie runs and comes home empty-handed from hunting turkeys. His love of reading runs colorfully from non-fiction books about pirates to vintage sci-fi to poetry. He has no problem reconciling that his two favorite shows are Downton Abbey and Breaking Bad.

Michelle, my apologies for not writing earlier. Thank you for the kind words and the great review.

I am currently writing another novel, but the next one will be much less somber, more adventurous, and have a good helping of humor and romance in it. If I write two heavy books back-to-back, you'll read about me in the news how they found me swinging from my ceiling fan.

The next novel is unrelated to Syncing Forward and takes place in an old house in North Carolina. It will be a downright twisty tale. I don't want to give away more than that, however.(less)

I highly doubt they are lying, so the reader is conveying frustration, and in an elliptical way, cares enough to communicate that to you. Take it as a blessing, cool off, and then ask yourself if your book could have been better. I think most of us can say 'yes'. Obviously you don't want to write with the goal of making every human being like your book, but I doubt many of us can say we've written the perfect piece of literature. (less)

Syncing In series

November 2017, I published the second novel in the series Syncing In. When I came up with the concept, I actually shuddered at the ruthlessness of it, wavered at its publication, and even asked my wife if she thought it a mistake to put it out there. She gave it a green light, and so off it went to the editor. When it came back, the ending had a notation that read “Nicely bru...

Decent! I like the story

Good story, with a couple stretches of character development I shrugged at. The MC comes around a little too quickly. But that's okay. Everything else was good.
