Hi Jason,

I (regretfully) don't have any real media presence at this time, so when it comes to follower counts and blog traffic, I don't have anything to keep an eye on. I do glance at Amazon rankings for individual titles, though, mostly to have a better idea of which publishing houses seem to sell books better, and at what prices. Winning or losing doesn't factor into it so much . . . it's just information gathering, mostly.

Thanks for reaching out!(less)

Somehow I missed this - I apologize. I don’t have a website at the moment. I used to, but was absolutely awful at maintaining it, so I let it go. I do hope to have a collected edition of volumes 1-6 and eventually 7-12 one day. Signed copies I have done and can do at pretty much any time. Please feel free to reach out to dbhfiction@gmail.com if you’re interested. (less)

A nibble of My Hungry Friend (also known as an excerpt)

My Hungry Friend by Daniel Barnett

After a horrifying experience in the park, Mike Roberts takes refuge in the dark of a movie theater:

--

My mother used to say that if I lost a foot halfway to the store, I'd hop the rest of the way there, buy my groceries, and hop back home before giving my missing foot a second thought. She said I had a 'steadfast mind,' and that nobody with a compass had ever stayed a truer course than me. I Read more of this blog post »

Philosophy with fangs. With his latest novella, Moses has given us a thoughtful meditation on life, death, and all that’s in between. Fans of the vampire genre will no doubt love this one, but I think it’s especially for the dreamers out there.

“Sometimes a person can have a lot of good things but not the right thing, or at least not enough of it. Sometimes passion is like falling in love alone.”
Daniel Barnett, Poor Things

“. . . it was his teeth that stood out most of all, each smooth and square and exactly the same. Teeth like big white blocks. Teeth so wide they bulged in his cheeks, so tall they filled half his face.”
Daniel Barnett, The Safe

“Adolescence is an earthquake, one that feels like it will never end while you're living it, and eventually there comes a choice. You can crawl under your desk and hide, or you can stand up on top of that shaking desk and dance.
