T.L. Merrybard lives in the hills above Perth, Western Australia in a stone cottage surrounded by tall trees. She shares her home with her partner and her dogs and cat.

Tina Merrybard, who writes as T.L. Merrybard, is the author of fantasy and mystery novels that are available via Amazon, and she's currently working on her 12th. Wherever possible, she likes to set her novels at least partly in Western Australia, and she always involves animals in her stories, whether real types of animal, or imagined ones! Her stories are lively, often a bit cheeky and always fun. They contain friendships of all kinds, along with adventure, romance, and humour, You can find more information at T.L. Merrybard.com

While we all wait...

While we all wait for the Corvid virus to settle down, and hopefully keep inside as much as we can to slow the spread, I've put all my ebooks down to 99c on Amazon for as long as it takes.  If you've been wanting to read them but think it is too expensive, or if you've never wanted to read them but now you're bored as and any escape will help, go for it!

Writing on my current book seems to be going Read more of this blog post »

"Oh wow, this is really white-centric, classist, and ableist, and it’s kind of gross. Like–where do I even begin? This is going to be long, you’ve been warned.

Okay, so basically, the art in this is gorgeous, but it’s very white and female-oriented. Th" Read more of this review »

A delight. I really loved the way Kipling showed so aptly the history of that long-occupied land, and the well-loved and -observed description of the environment too. I'm not sure if kids would enjoy it today, but this big kid did!

Mary Oliver
How I go to the woods

Ordinarily, I go to the woods alone, with not a single
friend, for they are all smilers and talkers and therefore
unsuitable.

I don’t really want to be witnessed talking to the catbirds
or hugging the old black oak tree. I have my way of
praying, as you no doubt have yours.

Besides, when I am alone I can become invisible. I can sit
on the top of a dune as motionless as an uprise of weeds,
until the foxes run by unconcerned. I can hear the almost
unhearable sound of the roses singing.

If you have ever gone to the woods with me, I must love
you very much.”
Mary Oliver, Swan: Poems and Prose Poems

“A friend is one to whom one may pour out the contents of one's heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that gentle hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.”
Dinah Maria Craik

Marcus Aurelius
“When another blames you or hates you, or people voice similar criticisms, go to their souls, penetrate inside and see what sort of people they are. You will realize that there is no need to be racked with anxiety that they should hold any particular opinion about you.”
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
