I am a science fiction author who successfully avoided all forms of creative writing until rather late in life, when the writing bug finally caught me napping.

In hindsight this should not have been a surprise; trained as a software developer, the switch from business requirement documents to speculative fiction was only a small step.

I live in beautiful British Columbia with my wife, two children, and an assorted collection of pets.

My website contains information on published books, works in progress, and an insider's view into the Ghosts of Innocence universe.

You can also connect with me on my blog, Views From the Bald Patch, where I post about Life, Writing, and Random Thoughts That Enter My Mind.

Any time I set off for the shops, I wonder what kind of experience it’s going to be this time. It seems usually to be either everything’s a breeze, or what seems like a simple task turns into an exercise in frustration. Not much in between. I bet James Bond never had to put up with such mundane nonsense  :)

The latter seems especially to apply when I’m looking for parts to repair or replace some... Read more of this blog post »

Hey, Jessica, thanks for replying! I'll reply more fully by PM. 110? Wow, I can't match that although I'm not entirely castle-bereft :)

Jessica O'Toole Hi Ian, thanks for the add!

Have you visited the UK or Europe and seen the fortresses up close? I am always happy to give castle (plus cathedral, and monastic) visiting advice if you ever need it :D
