Lisa Brown Roberts’ award-winning YA romantic comedies have earned praise from Kirkus Reviews, Publishers Weekly, and School Library Journal.

Lisa's teenaged self tweezed off all her eyebrows, crashed a car into a tree while trying to impress a guy, and accidentally went to prom with someone else's boyfriend. When she couldn't fix any of this in real life, she made up imaginary happy endings in her diary.

Not much has changed.

Lisa lives in Colorado with her family and many, many books.

Hi Carmine,

Thank you for your kind words about HOW (NOT) TO FALL IN LOVE, and asking about my next projects.

I have so many ideas, I can hardly keep track of them all! I'm happy to say that I have more YA contemporary romances releasing from Entangled Teen. Coming next is a YA rom-com about the class perfectionist and the class playboy thrown together for a summer nanny job with two crazy little kids - lots of chaos, chemistry, and kissing. I had a lot of fun writing it, and am looking forward to sharing it with readers.

Hi Friends,

True confession: I like to read Entangled Teen's Crush books as much as I like to write them. If I'd had these books when I was a teenager I would've been delirious with geeky, drama-loving, book boyfriend joy. As an adult, I'm still prett

“Life's messy," he agreed. "But sometimes amazing things can happen, even when it seems like it's all falling apart.”

“I wondered if this was how it felt to sell your soul to the devil. I bet there were awesome cookies in hell, too.”
Lisa Brown Roberts, Playing the Player

“Sometimes your garden surprises you. You don't remember planting strawberries or mint, but there it is, rising up in the middle of the carrot patch. Maybe the seeds blew in from the neighbor's garden. Or maybe they were buried in the dirt and you unearthed them when you tilled the soil. Or maybe you're reaping what you've sown. However it happened, you now have unexpected bounty. Accept it with gratitude.”

“Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back. That's part of what it means to be alive. But inside our heads - at least that's where I imagine it - there's a little room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in awhile, let in fresh air, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you'll live forever in your own private library.”
Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore
