Christopher Taylor is the author of three novels -- Snowberry's Veil, Old Habits, and Life Unworthy -- along with many other works for role playing games. He lives in Oregon and is always at work on another novel.

A life long dreamer, Christopher encountered fantasy in The Hobbit at a young age and for him it was like coming home. He learned to play AD&D in 1979 and his gaming experiences as player and GM have shaped his storytelling and world building skills to a razor sharp edge.

Both Old Habits and Snowberry's Veil are set in his game world Jolrhos and reflect his love of both the wilds of Oregon and the gaming worlds he's been a part of.

Christopher checks the back of closets for Narnia and feels odd writing about himself in the third

Early copies of Snowberry's Veil are very rough and have significant problems with timeline and even a horse that disappears without explanation.

Most of my experience with writing came from running role playing games for decades - inventing stories with others on the fly with a skeleton of a plot - and I have learned quite a bit from those experiences and preparing games.(less)

One of the hazards of modern writing is a sector of the public who is ready to find fault and discomfort in nearly anything they encounter.  This oversensitivity and zeal to run to social media and decry what one finds objectionable.  An author can run into this movement to their discomfort, particularly in certain genres.

Christopher Taylor I only know a few, in the Portland and Eugene area mostly. There's never been any sort of meetup in the area that I am aware of.

Octiparan Howdy Christopher,

I noticed you are in Salem, OR. This means were neighbors, as I live in Keizer. I've lived in Keizer 10+ years, Salem 10 years and a number of other places around the country before that. My real home is Billings, Montana. I'm trapped here in Oregon due to the triplet grand kids. If you ever want to meet in person just let me know.

BTW, has there ever been a Moron meet up in the general area? and are there any other rons and ettes in the area?

Thanks
Lee
