Hey there, love you and your blog. I was wondering, I know the Cracked After Hours is scripted but you guys definitely seem to vibe really well! Is there stuff in the final cut that came from off the cuff? And if so, do you have a favorite or two? Keep bei
Hey!
Thanks for the kind words. People hate hearing this, but I’d say that 98% of everything you see in After Hours is completely scripted. The only stuff that’s made up on the spot is the stuff that happens at the end, under black, while the credits are going. Sometimes someone will come up with an off-the-cuff joke when we’re reading the first draft, and then that joke will be incorporated into the next draft, but generally we stay pretty close to the page.
All of the surprising unscripted moments for me come from reactions, usually. I’ll notice Soren making a face or reacting in some surprising or interesting way that obviously wasn’t scripted, something I didn’t notice when we shot.
YOU keep being rad.

reblogging for the art
“Reblogging for the art.” Am I bad at internet or did no one post where this art is from? I can help! It’s from Cracked’s first book, You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News (fun fact, Cracked/Penguin own exclusive rights to this image so whomever posted it is stealing it!). It was made by Anthony Clark, aka Nedroid.
If you like this art enough to share it, why not support Anthony on Patreon? I know it’s cheaper to reblog a piece of art you like without thinking about where it comes from, but maybe support Anthony anyway! He’s a sweet man and very talented.

A Comedian's Plea: Give 'Big Time in Hollywood, FL' a Second Chance (and Season)
I wrote an article for the New York Observer on how you should go to Hulu.com and binge watch all of “Big Time In Hollywood, Florida” even if it makes me feel inferior.
