Excellent insults tossed off by thisdanobrien during this week’s episode of The Cracked Podcast, “Why Nothing About The Presidential Election Matters.”

The debates:
Mummer’s farce

The candidates:
Chowderheads
Gummybears

Trump in particular:
Actual goblin
Cheez doodle
Walnut of a person
Ignorant showboating clown

Haha dumb. Thanks for writing down the things I come up with when I’m panicked and there’s a microphone in front of me.

We made you a Jeb Bush Flash game.

cracked:

During an interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, Jeb responded to a question about the United States’ involvement in the Iraq War, stating he still would have authorized the invasion, even knowing what we know now. That’s a problem, considering almost the entire justification for that act was based on faulty information. So, essentially, what he’s saying is that he would’ve invaded Iraq for kicks. … And I came up with a way to convey that message in the form of this “choose your own adventure” Flash game.

4 Presidential Hopefuls’ Flaws (As Playable Video Games)

This is such a cool idea.

Have you listened to Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton yet? If so, what did you think of it? I'm practically shouting my love to the rooftops, and you probably have gotten this question a lot, but I just had to ask. Personally, I think it would be right up you

I bought tickets for it for Hamilton for this December and I want to be surprised and blown away when I see it live. After which I will of course buy the soundtrack, commit it to memory and daydream about an alternate reality in which Lin and I grew up together and were friends.

Is Dangerous Minds weirder for making the teacher run a “Dylan-Dylan” contest (find a Bob Dylan song that’s like a Dylan Thomas poem) at all…

…or for using that to replace the actual story, where the teacher connected to her inner city students through rap lyrics?

THIS WEEK: guest host Dan O'Brien is joined by author Liana Maeby and Cracked editor JF Sargent to discuss the weird relationship between truth and fiction, expectation and reality, and movies that changed the real stories that inspired them for better or worse – usually worse.

6 Movies Based On B.S. True Stories

I hosted this weird thing with Josh Sargent and my friend/nemesis Liana Maeby.  Listen to it! I think it’s really cool when The Hold Steady kicks in in the beginning, I just really love the way that song opens.
