Thanks for your question. The thriller genre was the first I considered. I suppose I was motivated by the dozens of thrillers I read with fairly predictable endings. So I set out to write books with lots of twists and turns and what I call switch-backs--twists so extreme that they contain a twist within a twist. I try my best to make the endings of my books unpredictable. For some time I have been contemplating writing historical fiction; I hope to start my first book in that genre in the coming months. I suppose it will be more literary fiction in style than the commercial fiction you find with the current Vanguard series.(less)

Thank you Sean. I joined a few weeks ago. I'm slowly building up to the task of participating more frequently. I moved house recently and doing anything else not associated with that has been challenging. I've seen lots of interesting threads and comments from the group. I'm looking forward to more frequent engagement.
