I've had stories that stumped me for extended periods, yes, which I had to work out the problem that was stalling me before I could progress (I'll work on a different project in the interim). I've had other times when I didn't write for extended periods, but I'd say that was depression-related. I've been fortunate enough to never experience the inability to write when I've been intent on doing so. Knock wood. (less)

Nobody else has those, and they demand to be released. Sadly, what ultimately reaches the page is but a pale shadow of what I see in the mind's eye, but it's still distinctly my creation, nonetheless.(less)

Friday Night Videos Back in the day, I never really appreciated the Clash. They were staples on MTV, and "Rock the Casbah" was a video I could pretty much count on seeing any time I turned on the tube. That random armadillo always amused me. These days I appreciate the influence the band had much more. I'm still not a huge fan, but I get a hankering for them every so often, and their music never disappoints. Pre... "An interesting look at the infamous LaGrange, Texas brothel. Since I'm about 30 miles from the original location, I had to read it. I liked it fine but I didn't read the story straight through. It was the wrong time for me, hence the 3 stars. For..." Read more of this review »

"This book has been on my 'to buy' list for a long time, but once purchased, it had only seconds on the 'to be read' list before I started it. I grew up just about 20-some-odd miles away from the Ranch during the '60's and '70's, and before we even..." Read more of this review »
