Jeanna Kunce is a graphic designer and the author of a series of chapter books featuring an adventurous girl named Darien. Though she has never traveled to a magical land—yet—Jeanna draws upon her own experiences to enrich her writing, such as sewing with her grandma, countless times exploring the woods near her home, and her single skydive through Florida airspace.

Jeanna continues to have her own adventures in Wisconsin, nestled between tree-covered bluffs and the Mississippi River, along with her husband and children. She hopes to inspire a love of reading, daydreaming, and creativity through her stories.

I've had this particular part of the story in my head for at least two years now, so it's very exciting to finally be writing it down in detail. If readers journey with Darien and I this far, they will find themselves in a very different, unexpected place this time, but they may finally get a few answers to questions lingering from books 1 and 2. And they will get a glimpse at some favorite characters they might have missed during book 2.(less)

Hello Readers! It's been a while, since I've been busy working on "Darien" book 3 and several other projects, but I finally have a new book to announce. It is NOT in the Darien series, but does still feature a female protagonist. It is written for a slightly younger audience (about 6–9 years old, though younger kids would also enjoy the story if they have the patience to sit for a chapter book)...
