Jessica Roe is the author of The Guardians series and the Fortunate series.

She's the mother of one cute li'l hooligan, two hamsters called Snowball and Rainbow, and two gerbils called Elsa and Anna. She's a lover of rainclouds, Gandalf and all things fantasy. Also chocolate. Always chocolate.

She loves to write, and especially enjoys creating a character and seeing where they take the story (because we all know authors aren't REALLY in charge). If not writing, she can usually be found reading something to do with romance or fantasy or the end of the world (or maybe all three). Oh, and sometimes she also does chores.

She likes strong, ready to fight, female characters who are just as capable at anything as the guys. She has a weird love for

I already have a definite story idea for Nash - which I'll start on when I've finished with the Jemma novella I'm currently working on. (less)

I'm glad you liked it :) Blair and Silver won't have their own sequel - I think the pair of them have dealt with enough now and deserve to be happy lol - but they'll definitely feature pretty heavily in a couple of other stories. Right now I'm working om Jemma's novella and they've had some definite page time, and I also have something a little special planned for them when I write Nash's story too(less)

More books by Jessica Roe…
Undone was the very first story that I ever started and actually finished; the very first story that I ever published. It's one that I'm most proud of, but also one that needed a lot of work. It was my first story and I've learned a lot about writing since first publishing it. So I've taken some time recently to give Undone a big rewrite, polish it up a little. The storyline is the same, but th... Read more of this blog post »

I wanted to like this so bad. It has all the things I love - aliens, romance, YA, etc. etc. But I just couldn't. It's not that it's a bad story, it's just far too juvenile - which is fine, since it's a YA, but it's juvenile even by YA standards. Not ...more

Absolutely obsessed with Reykin. Hawthorne was cute, but Reykin is everything. God I hope Roselle goes for Reykin

“Well, we're friends. In that weird way where you're eternally mad at me, and I'm eternally imagining what you look like naked.”
Frankie Rose, Halo

“I'll always come back to you.”
Beth Revis, Shades of Earth

“So do you believe in second chances?" I bite my lip.
"Second, third, fourth. Whatever it takes. However long it takes. If the person is right," he adds.
"If the person is... Lola?"
This time, he holds my gaze. "Only if the other person is Cricket.”
Stephanie Perkins, Lola and the Boy Next Door

“When I come back, the club is packed. There's hardly any standing room. Anna snagged a wooden bar stool, one of the few seats here. St. Clair stands close to her, facing her, and he smoothes the platinum stripe in her hair. She pulls him even closer by the top of his jeans, one finger tucked inside. It's an intimate gesture. I'm embarrassed to watch, but I can't look away.
He kisses her slowly and deeply. They don't care that anyone could watch. Or maybe they've forgotten they aren't alone. When they break apart, Anna says something that makes him fall into silly, boyish laughter. For some reason, that's the moment that makes me turn away. Something about their love is painful.”
Stephanie Perkins, Lola and the Boy Next Door

“The monster inside of him was clawing to break free, while the man inside of him was tempted to fall to his knees and beg Ashby to give her back to him, unharmed.”
Erica Stevens, Renegade
