I'm a Hong Kong raised mom of five who loves all things Asian. My middle grade novel in verse, RED BUTTERFLY, about a Chinese orphan raised in isolation by an American foster mother, is due out from Simon & Schuster BFYR in Feb., 2015.

Hi David,

Thank you so much for your interest! I think the best way at present would be to order online. Many online booksellers probably offer international shipping, but I know The Book Depository has free international shipping, so that might be a good place to start. Here's a link for you to copy: http://www.bookdepository.com/Red-But...

I hope this helps! Happy reading!

Best,

A.L. Sonnichsen Hi Maddy!

Yes, Red Butterfly came out officially on February 3, so it should be in a store near you and online.

Happy reading!

I read this book for research and really enjoyed it, especially because it was so hard to predict. BUT, the ending!!!??!!! Even the person who owned the book before me wrote, "WHAT?" in the margin. :)

This was a lovely read. And I can't clean windows anymore without thinking about Anna's rule of not applying too much Windex. :) I felt a little annoyed with Etienne that he seemed so spineless in places, but still entertaining. I highly recommend!

I didn't think this should have been a verse novel. That was my main complaint. There was too much dialogue and I was constantly confused about who was talking. I love verse novels and this was one of the first times I've been disappointed in one.
