I have more exciting news for HARD TARGET. I found out Monday in the middle of finishing edits for Book 2 in the Elite Ops series that HARD TARGET has received an Award of Merit for Romantic Suspense in the 2014 HOLT Medallion Contest. Woot! Exiciting news. HARD TARGET, the first book in my Elite Ops series, is a nominee for Best Romantic Suspense of 2014 in the Greater Detroit RWA Booksellers' Best Awards.
I’ve loved writing this series, and this book was particularly special to me. I’m thrilled and honored to be included with some amazing authors. Check out all the Romantic Suspense nominees:

New website for a new release
Getting ready for summer I decided it was time for a little Spring cleaning online, particularly since I have a new book coming out with Avon Impulse. PERSONAL TARGET (aka Elite Ops—2) releases July 29, and I’ve just redesigned my website at KayThomas.net to get ready for all the festivities.

Exciting news from my house...
This has nothing to do with writing but it’s been an exciting time at my house and I must share. My son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony and reception was last weekend in our home. It's been such fun celebrating his hard work and humbling to realize all the people who've poured their lives into his over the years. Here's my favorite picture of us together from all the festivities. I am so proud of him!
