Jayna Ostler grew up in Northern Utah. When she's not busy writing her next novel, she's adding to her personal library, attending band concerts, contemplating her next tattoo, fangirling hard over one of many fandoms, and balancing work life with her creative one. Swallow, her debut book, was written in fifteen days. The Openers and Stereo followed quickly after in their publishing. Seven Cities is her fourth book and she continues to plan and plot many more to come.

I can't wait for people to read this story but I am so freaking nervous for this signing. The closet thing I've ever experienced to this would be tabling at the Portland Zine Symposium the past two years but even then, most of the people there were inte... Read more of this blog post »

I knew as soon as I heard Cohn and Levithan were publishing another book that I would love it. I was far from disappointed. 💙

“All of our music is made up of twelve notes and their harmonies. That’s it. Twelve notes and twenty-six letters. The goal of us as musicians is to find that perfect combination to open up the lock to minds and feelings of others until they realize they aren’t alone in this godforsaken world. And your music makes me feel less lonely. I hope that’s reason enough for you to keep playing.”

“You're gonna miss each and every shot you can't be bothered to take. That's not living life--that's just being a tourist. Take every shot, Kate. If it's worth caring about, no matter how impossible you think it is--you take the shot.”
Matt Fraction, Hawkeye, Volume 1: My Life as a Weapon

“You asked about the Avengers. Y’wanna know the best part about being an Avenger? Having Captain America around you all the time. He just—the guy just brings out the absolute best in people. You want to be good when he’s around. You really do.

Ivan, look around you real quick. Because right now? Captain America ain’t here.”
Matt Fraction, Hawkeye #1
