The Copenhagen interpretation of writing.

There’s an old philosophical exercise that goes more or less like this: if I don’t know something exists, would this thing actually exist? It’s the game that you learn if you’ve ever studied philosophy, the old one where you ask your stoned friends if the square you just played football in still exists while you’re not there.

Dario’s Recent Updates

Dead Men Naked by Dario Cannizzaro
"I enjoyed this book and loved the character that is death, however it wasn’t at all what I expected it to be and the story went in a direction that I cared less for. I liked the way it’s written, no incredibly slow parts or anything, a quick and easy" Read more of this review »

Dead Men Naked by Dario Cannizzaro
"Mostly a fun, bizarre story with Death and ghosts and tequila. The pace keeps moving as we follow Louis' strange intro the world beyond this one. The end, for me, was kind of a jumble, but overall I like the book."

Making Connections: 4654. - OF LIFE, DEATH, ALIENS AND ZOMBIES by Dario Cannizzaro 1 7 Oct 30, 2016 08:32AM
Don DeLillo
“Because we’re suffering from brain fade. We need an occasional catastrophe to break up the incessant bombardment of information.”
Don DeLillo, White Noise

Cormac McCarthy
“I’m not interested in writing short stories. Anything that doesn’t take years of your life and drive you to suicide hardly seems worth doing.”
Cormac McCarthy

Alexander Pope
“How happy is the blameless vestal’s lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d”
Alexander Pope, Eloisa to Abelard

Don DeLillo
“Something about the occasion makes me think I'm at my own wake. Sitting for a picture is morbid business. A portrait doesn't begin to mean anything until the subject is dead. This is the whole point. We're doing this to create a kind of sentimental past for people in the decades to come. It's their past, their history we're inventing here. And it's not how I look now that matters. It's how I'll look in twenty-five years as clothing and faces change, as photographs change. The deeper I pass into death, the more powerful my picture becomes. Isn't this why picture-taking is so ceremonial? It's like a wake. And I'm the actor made up for the laying-out.”
Don DeLillo, Mao II

Mae West
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
Mae West
