Rebecca Waters views writing as both a gift and a ministry. As a teacher education professor at Cincinnati Christian University, Rebecca’s writing focused on journals of professional education. Now, after completing her fourteen plus year tenure at the university, Rebecca has turned her pen to freelance writing and to the completion of her first novel, Breathing On Her Own. She has published in national publications such as Chicken Soup for the Soul, The Lookout Magazine, and Home Health Aide Digest. “My goal in everything I write is to serve God.” Rebecca lives in Florida most of the year, venturing north to spend time with her three adult daughters, three sons-in-law, and eight grandchildren.

The story didn't exactly go that direction, but that was the nugget of the idea from which it grew.(less)

Add to it, the “T” stands for Thomas and that man I married was over the moon. It was at this time we discovered Tom was a “baby hog.” He would come into a room and snatch the baby away from you in an instant. It wasn’t limited to h Read more of this blog post »

"I loved this book!

I read it in one sitting, it was that good. It is so cliche to say "I could not put this book down", but in this case I really couldn't put the book down until I'd read the whole thing.

The characters are wonderful! They are flawed j" Read more of this review »

"Libby's Cuppa Joe is a lovely story. The author goes a beautiful job using time and familiarity to tell the story of the main character, Sonja. She became my friend as I watched her grow in her struggles. I enjoyed a few cups of coffee while I read a" Read more of this review »

"Coffee shops and books and lakeside resort towns: what's not to love about the setting for Rebecca Waters' newest novel? The author painted such a clear picture of Fish Creek that I felt I could have drawn a map of the town -- and it's a town where I" Read more of this review »
