Brian L. Hanson is Assistant Professor of Humanities & Theology at Bethlehem College in Minneapolis. He has a PhD in History from the University of St Andrews. He is also a professional musician and a published composer of choral anthems. His music is published by Choristers Guild. He was the recipient of the 2009 John Ness Beck Foundation prize for his anthem, Jesus, Lover of My Soul. He is the husband of Johanna and the father of five children.
