Its no wonder with my family having been very instrumental in the city's early growth, that I ended up writing my first non-fiction book, A young boy's stories about Dixie, History of the Walter E. Peele Dixie Water Treatment Plant. It is my second book, and first attempt at writing both non-fiction and history.

I know in time more will come to me to move the story along in the right direction from where it left off. I simply wait in patience. I'd rather allow the story to find me, instead of having to go in search of.(less)

It is amazing to me some of the things that can inspire one (like myself) to sit down and begin writing a manuscript for a book and then publishing it.

My first project, Fallen Angel of the Highway was born out of a request for a copy of a photo to use as a stencil for my next tattoo. Not just any tattoo, but a very special one. A commemorative tat celebrating the tenth anniversary of my dad's p... Read more of this blog post »

More of Gary's books…
“The beauty of the trees, the softness of the air, the fragrance of the grass, speaks to me.

The summit of the mountain, the thunder of the sky, the rhythm of the sea, speaks to me.

The strength of the fire, the taste of salmon, the trail of the sun, and the life that never goes away, they speak to me.

And my heart soars.”
