Marie-Rose Phan-Lê is an award-winning filmmaker and author. She recently won the Nautilus Book Award Gold Prize and Bookvana Book Prize for her memoir, Talking Story. She has more than twenty years’ experience in film, television, and new media production. Marie-Rose has traveled extensively for various projects, including her award-winning documentary film, the companion to her memoir. She is the founder and president of Healing Planet Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and presentation of ancient healing and spiritual traditions. Sometimes it's really a matter of simply working out the adrenaline that is stuck in my body, and a mindful walk or taking some conscious breaths will get me through. Then I make a commitment to write just one sentence. Once that sentence is down, it will generally lead to more.(less)
