That's what I did, with my novel "Aloha Self-Esteem?" A lot of me is in the main character, Jennifer Gonzalez. She is shy and quiet like I was in high school, and I also suffered with low self-esteem like she did and went through my own journey to improve my self-esteem. My writing, especially with regards to this novel, is inspired by some aspects of my life and what I've personally experienced. :)(less)

I'll come back and read what I wrote earlier that day and go from there. If I still have writer's block, I'll step back again and usually, when I least expect it, an idea will pop into my head. If I'm away from my computer, I'll write the idea in my notebook app on my phone so that I don't forget it because that little memory of mine is really and truly awful and needs all the help it can get!
