Daniel’s first novel – the gripping gay romantic horror Beckoning Blood – was published by Escape Publishing in 2014. The sequel, Burning Blood, came out in May 2015, and the third and final book in the trilogy will come out in 2016. He is

My book, Embers and Echoes, follows the tense relationship between police officer Ben Fields and firefighter Toby Grimshaw. It’s an unrequited love story set in outback NSW. Both men are good at their jobs, both have integrity and the respect of the people they serve to protect in Echo Springs. I [...]

More of Daniel's books…
“He took his hand and something sparked in the handshake. It coursed up his arm and fluttered in his chest. He gritted his teeth as he tried to keep his face smooth, pleasant, while lightning struck his heart. Reiner looked straight into his eyes, and when Thierry returned his intense gaze, he was bewildered as to where and when he was.

The breath he didn’t need to take caught in his dry throat.

The lights around him seemed to dim, leaving only the two of them illuminated. His muddled mind tried to understand what was happening, but as he groped for answers he found nothing to hold. Like trying to catch water.”

“Soon, Etienne was lost to his clouded vision, and those three whispered words, which he finally uttered with a reverence saints would envy, went unheard.”

“Olivier throbbed in his veins. Not feeding put Reiner at risk. His own hunger mixed with Olivier’s madness meant Reiner’s throat would be too alluring for the wrong reasons. A descent into the wilderness would help dispel some of it; the blood would drown the rest.”
