Hey there, I'm Lance Rubin.

My first book, DENTON LITTLE'S DEATHDATE, came out from Knopf in Spring 2015.

I'm from New Jersey. It's a way better state than people give it credit for. I went to Brown University, and now I live in Brooklyn with my wife and son. They are delightful people.

Before I became an author, I was primarily an actor. "Anything I'd recognize you from?" you might ask. Probably not, unless you watched the short-lived NBC hospital show MERCY, in which I guest-starred as a patient with a naked sleepwalking problem.

By my late 20's, the acting business was making me sad, so I started to focus more on writing.

Now I'm primarily a writer and it makes me incredibly happy.

Harry Potter is one of my favorite things of all time. J

I am so delighted that you can't wait to find out what happens. Thank you. The sequel was supposed to come out in April 2016, but even though it's done (and I think you'll like it!), there have been some delays.

So stay tuned for the exact date. Should be sometime in 2016 for sure. (And in the meantime, feel free to tweet at Random House Children's saying you can't wait for it to come out...) (less)

So glad you loved the book and the Teen Wolf references. I'm about to sound like an old person, but here's the truth: Though I've seen and thoroughly enjoyed a few episodes of Teen Wolf, I'm much more familiar with the original movie version from the 80's starring Michael J. Fox. I was fairly obsessed with it when I was younger. It doesn't fully hold up today, but if you want to see the cheesy and wonderful inspiration for the current show, you should check it out.

Meanwhile, Teen Wolf the TV show is on my to-binge-watch-very-soon list. I will report back to you with thoughts once I've seen a full season.

And as for the DENTON sequel, barring some unexpected rewrites, there are currently no Teen Wolf references. I hope you will still consider reading it, though, as I promise there will be other fun pop-cultural references to enjoy.
