Anna Pigeon is the strong willed character from Nevada Barr's National Park murder mysteries.(less)

It's been a tough read considering everything going on in U.S. politics; some if it hits a little too close to home. I had started watching the made for TV Hulu series but have postponed it until I finish the book.

I am also reading "Small Victories" by Anne Lamott which I won on Goodreads.com! I am enjoying it, but I sometimes find her phrasing difficult to follow. Her essays are nice and short which is good for me, since I often get distracted while reading.

I have a few more books in my queue including "Knock Your Socks Off Prospecting" to help me focus on my sales jobs during the day. Again, I'm easily distracted so I come and go with this book.

I've been working through John Muir's "Our National Parks" for YEARS. I love John Muir but he's difficult for me to read, so that's an ongoing effort.

I'd like to lose myself in some fiction books this summer, so I'll most likely turn back to Nevada Barr for her national park mystery series with her lead character Anna Pigeon. I may also tackle some Barbara Kingsolver novels.(less)

There have been plenty of times I’ve written a similar blog like this and recall my friend Sandy in the back of my head telling me to slow down. Telling me that there’s too much on my plate. That life isn’t about getting all of this “done”. Finishe
