David Watkins lives in Devon in the UK with his wife, two sons, dog, cat and two turtles. He is unsure of his place in the pecking order: probably somewhere between the cat and the turtles.

The Original's Return has a committed family man become involved with werewolf gangs and the British Military whilst the follow up, The Original's Retribution, concerns the immediate aftermath and consequences of Jack's actions in the first book. Both novels are highly rated on Amazon.

David's most recent book is The Devil's Inn: a novel set on Dartmoor during a fierce snowstorm. Has the Devil really come to Devon?

He is now working on a new stand alone novel, set in Exeter. He hates referring to himself in the third person, but no-one else is going to writ

Les Vacances

Les Vacances Les Vacances by Phil Sloman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Phil Sloman is great at writing realistic characters and then doing unspeakable things to them. This novella is no exception to that rule: Frank and Elizabeth decide to go on holiday to France for a change. Their relationship is strained, especially from Elizabeth's point of view, but is also entirely believable. I won't go into the details of Read more of this blog post »

A Quiet Apocalypse by Dave Jeffery
"You'd think that currently living in a pandemic would preclude you from reading an apocalyptic story - ha! Ever since I read the blurb for this novella, I've been waiting eagerly to read it - and I'm very happy to say that it has very much lived up t" Read more of this review »
The Original's Retribution by David Watkins
"Good

Good, but too much deaths for my own taste. I liked the first one a lot more, as it was more fantastic than gory as this one. But if you like full bloody gory stories, this one is for you!"
The Devil's Inn by David Watkins
"Fun

I like stories in "milieu-clos". Those are harder to write but often give interesting results. Like this one did. The end."
The Original's Return by David Watkins
"Good!

Nice take on the werewolf "mythology". Different from what I read in the past, as the infection didn't came from a bite... "

I’ll save some time here straight away: this is an excellent book, and is worth a place on any horror fans shelf.

I backed this as part of a crowd funding campaign, but that in no way influences my thoughts on this book. Collecting together Kit’s writ
