Severing Sanguine now in physical book, plus excerpt from up-coming fantasy series The Gods' Games

Hey Everyone!

Severing Sanguine is now available in print! Right now it's on createspace Here and in the next couple days it will also be on Amazon. I am on the last several days of my last edit of The Gods' Games and after that I will be reading through Book 2 The Ghost and the Darkness while working on Book 3 The Suicide King. After I'm done reading through Book 2 I will also be working on getting Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in print also. I am hoping to have Book 3's print book be released the same day as the ebook too.

I have also posted an excerpt of The Gods' Games Series Book 1 on my website and also on dropbox Here

The Gods' Games is a fantasy book series I started many many years ago at fourteen and wrote it on and off throughout my teen years. Then, after putting it aside in favour for another series (now that one is another great series I will one day release) I picked it up several years ago and re-wrote it but then, once again, put it aside for Fallocaust. Well, I have been spending the last few months re-writing Book 1 (one final time! I really had no choice, though it was good it wasn't up to my personal standards) and editing it, plus writing the ending, and now I am close to the finish line. Well, sort of, I'm close to sending it off to the beta readers. I will be announcing a release date for it soon, plus the cover reveal and most likely pre-orders as well.

Though a lot of my readers have been hearing me talk about this book on other social media outlets, I haven't talked that much about it here. So to read the blog post about The Gods' Games and what it is about, you can go Here!

Why am I taking on another series while writing Fallocaust? For a number of reasons. One of those reasons is because writing is not only my passion, it's my obsession. If I only have one series to focus on (even with companion books) I'm going to write Fallocaust too quickly and the series will suffer if I do, since I need to go out and experience new things, get new ideas, new inspiration, and just have the book ideas sit in my head and be constantly thought about. Plots and ideas for my characters get better with age and the longer I have them inside of my head the more I can connect the little spider webs. I don't want to speed through Fallocaust and be left knowing I could've done more with it if I would've just slowed down. I also plan on having a more relaxed future release date for The Gods' Games since The Fallocaust Series will be my main priority.

Another reason is that The Gods' Games has been put on the back burner for years in favour of other books and it deserves to be seen. It was also 90% written and it only needed a few months of hard work for it to be up to snuff and I had a few months before I wanted to start Book 3 anyways. This is a fucking amazing book and even though m/m romance isn't in the forefront it is still there (and a big fucking bromance going on with the main characters that I'm pretty sure will end up being a triad relationship lol) plus you get a hardcore and rather hot relationship between twin gods which is also always awesome. Though like I said m/m romance is only a small part of the book, the main focus is saving the world and surviving The Gods' Games. This book isn't as dark and heavy as The Fallocaust Series but quite frankly that's only so because I started writing it when I was younger. You'll notice as the book goes on it gets darker and darker and future books will reflect more on my writing style now, since that's just how I write now and where my passions lie.

So look for my blog post in the next several days for The Gods' Games release date and cover reveal and, while you're at it, pick up your print copy of Severing Sanguine!

New Website!

Hey everyone!

I now have a website up www.QuilCarter.com it has a lot of neat things on it and more to come. The one thing I am working on right now is a Chimera Glossery (but other characters will be added too) which will eventually have all of the characters, their stats, and a short biography as well. So far I'm on the fourth generation and am trying to add a few every couple days when I'm not busy with the other book projects.

It also has News which I update whenever I, well, have news lol. Fallocats which is where I post pics of my reader's cats with the Fallocaust books or cats who have been named after characters, my 2015 to-do list, and also a link to my grooveshark which has all the playlists I made while writing the books, it has both music mentioned in the books plus music that I listened to while writing.

This website will also have information about my new upcoming series (or old, this is the one I started about 12 years ago and have recently taken the time to re-write) called The Gods' Games and I will also be posting excerpts for both Fallocaust and The Gods' Games on that site as well!

Severing Sanguine is here!

SEVERING SANGUINE IS LIVE!

It's time to go back to the greywastes, guys! My pride and joy, Severing Sanguine is out and ready for your reading pleasure. This book was a hard one to write for many reasons but I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. Severing Sanguine not only tells the story of Sanguine 'Sami' Dekker but it also adds more backstory to events in the main Fallocaust series and gives you insight on why certain chimeras act in certain ways.

You can find Severing Sanguine on Amazon and Smashwords and over the next couple days it will also be on iBook, B&N, and Kobo as well.

So get the tissues, stock up on candy and cookies, draw your blinds, and turn off your phone! Happy reading everybody!

Breaking Jade now availible in physical book!

Breaking Jade is now availible in physical book! It has also been edited and is looking pretty fucking fancy.

Availible here

Right now it's only availible on createspace since it takes 2-3 buisness days for it to be on amazon.

Plus the Fallocaust physical book has been updated inside and out, thanks to my best buddy Christina who did the jacket for Breaking Jade and the new Fallocaust book! The physical book for Fallocaust is availible on createspace here and on Fallocaust's amazon page (since it has been updated it will be availible on amazon in the next couple days).

And don't forget Severing Sanguine is being released March 13th! Which is also Friday the thirteenth (so spooky). You can pre-order it here

Severing Sanguine release date and pre-orders.

Sanguine is coming March 13th! Which is, coincidentally, Friday the 13th!

Severing Sanguine is a companion book to The Ghost and the Darkness (Fallocaust Book 2). It's another Quil Carter behemoth, once I get around to writing the epilogue it will clock in at around 328,000 words. This book was a tough one to write for a lot of reasons, most of those reasons you'll understand once you read it. It's not for the faint of heart but, really, I'm sure none of you expected any different lol.
The next two months will be devoted to bringing The Gods' Games up to snuff, and after that I'm going to write a companion book to that one. Though as it stands TGG will probably not have a companion book to go with each book because so far it isn't needed (don't quote me on that, that might change), and also because my brain will melt and then explode from just having too much on my plate. After those two books are completed it will be onto Fallocaust Book 3! Hope everyone is doing great and Happy Saturday!

Fallocaust and I have made it to the second round of the M/M Romance Group's awards!

Well, the title says most of it. I'm happy to report that Fallocaust moved on for 3 nominations and I moved on for Favorite All-Time M/M Author! So I'm calling on my wonderful readers to please vote for me one more time and see if we can win one of these things! Seriously if I did, I would piss myself... like twice.

Fallocaust moved on in these categories:

Best Book of the Year
Best Book Debut
Best Action/Suspense/Adventure

And like I said I also moved on for Favorite All-Time M/M Author!

The link to the polls are here. They are on pages 1 and 2.

Thank you so much for voting, I really wasn't expecting to advance in any categories so this is seriously awesome.

In book news I'm on track to finish writing the companion book to The Ghost and the Darkness, 'Severing Sanguine'. Which as I said before is about the early life of Sanguine Dekker, your favourite red-eyes, sharp-toothed chimera. I should be finished in 2-3 weeks I think and the release date I reckon will be around end of Feb/March'ish. In a few weeks I will probably post the first several chapters and will make a blog post for that as well. Then it's onto the partial re-write/polish of my fantasy series The Gods' Games so look for future blog posts with excerpts of that too!

And also, I managed to scavenge some pennies to hire an editor for Breaking Jade. So look for a 're-download it' announcement in the coming months. After this is done I'm going to work on releasing it into a physical copy!

Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Hey Everyone. If you're a part of the M/M Romance Goodreads group, the polls are now open for voting! Fallocaust, Breaking Jade, and The Ghost and the Darkness have all been nominated, and I got nominated for Favorite All-Time M/M Author (squee).
Here is a link to all of
the polls

Fallocaust in the end got nominated for:

Best Book of the Year
All-Time ~Favorite All-Time M/M Romance
All-Time ~Favorite All-Time M/M Series
Best Book Debut
Best Sci-Fi/Futuristic/Post-Apocalyptic/Steampunk
Best Dark Theme
Best Long Story (250 pages or 100K words)
Best Hurt/Comfort
Genre ~Best Action/Suspense/Adventure

Breaking Jade got nominated for:

Best Slave/Dub Con/Kidnapped
Best Kink/Fetish

The Ghost and the Darkness Volume 1 got nominated for:

Best Cover Art
Best Action/Suspense/Adventure

So if you're a part of the group I would love you forever if you could take the time to vote! I'm not expecting to win a single category but screw it, it sure would be cool!

In writing news I'm just working on the last half of Severing Sanguine. I'm not sure how big it's going to be yet but as of right now it's over 210,000 words and I'm not nearly done telling this guy's story. I'm still hoping for a late January release but the great thing about being self published is I can make my own deadlines! After Severing Sanguine I'll be doing a partial rewrite and polish of my fantasy series I wrote Book 1 of before Fallocaust which is called The Gods' Games.

Take care everyone,

The Ghost and the Darkness Vol. 2 pre-orders.

Hey Everyone!

Due to popular demand The Ghost and the Darkness Volume 2 is now availible for pre-order! So if you want it in your device as soon as the clock strikes midnight... here you go :) Though the paranoid side of me would've loved a few extra days to obsess over it, this is probably for the best since now I can devote all of my time to finishing Severing Sanguine, which will hopefully be released end of January 2015.

Have a great day!

Fallocaust Survivors, a goodreads group for Fallocaust fans!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Mare and Kristie (incredibly awesome people) both decided to make a group on Goodreads called Fallocaust Survivors. So if you're interested in joining other like-minded crazy people to discuss the book or just hangout please come say hi! So far we are accumulating a nice little group in there, and we would love for you to join our cult... ah, group!

And of course, 8 more days until The Ghost and the Darkness Volume 2 gets released! I'm not doing a pre-order for this one due to Amazon needing the complete file 10 days before release, but it will be released at midnight (or sooner) so watch Amazon! I will also make a blog post on the 15th just as a reminder.

Take care!

The Fallocaust Series Book 2: The Ghost and the Darkness is released!

description

The Fallocaust Series Book 2: The Ghost and the Darkness is now live!

If you have a pre-order it should be in your device and ready for your reading pleasure! Or, well, your reading 'I'm about to tear out my fucking hair and kill that damn author' pleasure lol.

Sorry if this blog post is short, my hands are trembling and I'm feeling a bit lightheaded at the moment from sheer nerves. I hope you enjoy Book 2 of The Fallocaust Series, my pride and joy. Thank you everyone for your support and I hope you love Book 2 as much as I loved writing it.

Up next is Severing Sanguine, Book 2's companion book which will be released sometime in early 2015 (hopefully late January), and a few months after that (no idea when!) a fantasy book I started writing before Fallocaust called The Gods' Games (running title, might change). More information on that series in the new year, but I finished Book 1 of that series a few years ago and I just need to re-write some sections and polish it up.

Have a great Halloween everyone... I need to go curl up and be sick for awhile.
