Wisdom.

Wisdom is an interesting concept, as a boy I was impressed by the wise fountain of knowledge my grey haired elders seemed to possess and I could not wait to join their ranks. I soon realised age is not a guarantee to unlock the door of wisdom as out of the mouths of babes simple truth can often come. If I can not learn from history I will be doomed to repeat my folly.

What is wisdom? Is it the ability to sort out often opposing pieces of advice or through personal expedience apply logical thought to the consequences of either action or inaction to a particular situation?

Historically wisdom is an enviable quality to have such as the wisdom of King Solomon but do you need to possess superior thinking ability or maybe use what you have in the most efficient way?

Here are a few quotes that have wisdom as the bases of thought. If you can keep your head while others are losing there’s... Keep your friends close but your enemies even closer. Do not turn strangers away from your door as they could be angels in disguise. (A quote that advises a trait that is almost always inherent in us all, we should be careful about who we allow in to our lives but never forget that kindness is a gift that can bring with it blessings untold.) Let those without sin cast the first stone. The way to success is paved with the stepping stones of past failure. True friendship can not be judged on the crest of success but the depth of despair. The surest way to improve is to concentrate on a weakness. Luck is not a trustworthy walking stick to rely on. Empty vessels make the most noise.

A wise man was asked to name the worst part of the human body. He thought for a minute and said without question it is the tongue. Then he was asked could he say what is the best part of the human body. This time without hesitation he replied the tongue. How could that be, the tongue is both the best and worst It is the organ that is used to make other people happy and sad with compliments and insults as well as truth and lies. (Aesop’s fables.)

Even wisdom has limitations as to know what is the right course of action and due to powers beyond control the right practice might not be implemented. I would say the United Nations is one of these examples. A world governing authority it is an enviable notion until it comes to the practical implication of preserving peace and protecting the innocent population.

It is easy to be wise when I do not bear the consequences of my wisdom. I would say it is self evident that people fleeing from their war torn country would seek a safe haven of refuge. Would it not be wise to spend money and effort on enforcing peace and rebuilding their own country for them to enjoy.

When will the United Nations become the effective tool first dreamt of by some very wise people? There is often wisdom in intention but less influence of it in the practice of the purpose. Wisdom seems to me to be an important and needed element, it can mark mature thoughts, make inspirational pillars out of those who stop and think, it can give humanity a pause for thought and pave the way for a positive future.

Numbers.

I have always found numbers fascinating but within them some people believe is the mystery of creation and others search for the mathematical formula to bring about untold wealth. It is true the figure zero with its ability to be nothing and preceded by at least any other number can transform into a representation of wealth but this may not as many people think, translate into happiness.

Zero interests me immensely and it can alternatively be used with a humble one to be the basis of computer language, that commonly driven motor of modern business. One, of course is a term to identify myself but it also stands for the singularity of pre-creation.

The number two could represent a couple such as Ant and Dec or the dynamic duo Robin and Batman. Some couples are blessed such as Adam and Eve to be joined into a triple group.

A triangle springs to mind when three is mentioned and this along with a memory of my first three wheeler fills my thoughts, a vehicle which was no trouble until after a heavy fall of snow rendered it problematic in the extreme. The two outer parallel wheels followed pre formed tracks but the third wheel could not decide which side of the piled snow to be on and the ensuing ride of my life was most disconcerting.

Four walls are a representation of being solid and in the animal kingdom is a favourite number of limbs for walking. If four is useful in transporting oneself then why not five because when it comes to climbing like monkeys or when it comes to swimming, a tail is not a bad idea. A tail can be the fifth asset in an animal's anatomy and not to forget man's best friend, dogs who display their feelings with furious wagging of movement. Five as represented by five points of a star remind me of optimum health, that is the right food, water, physical exercise, mental exercise and the base is of course a peaceful, restful sleep.

Six is the smallest, perfect number. The sum of its parts equal its whole. The six Nation Rugby competition carriers the banner for six. A business improvement organisation has incorporated six into its name and philosophy.

The Magnificent Seven springs to mind depicted as cowboys or Samurai warriors battling against evil and overwhelming odds. The seven deadly sins may not be forgotten by some when talking about this numerical example. No education is complete without knowledge about the seven wonders of the world, although they are not in the original condition or are even the same seven wonders of the world as once historically recorded.

Eight shares a unique ability with zero to form an endless path. For some strange reason I see the notable symbol of the caduceus that is two entwined snakes about a winged staff. Eight is enduring for some, enticing for others and could there be a better shape for a racing circuit?

Nine held a secret for me. When multiplying by single numbers the product of individual digits always when added together comes back to nine. For example seven times nine is sixty three. Six and three added together come back to nine. When multiplying nine reduce the multiplier by one and as before seven reduced by one is six, take this away from nine gives three which is the right hand number of the appropriate answer.

Ten apart from being on the front door of the United Kingdom's parliamentary Prime Ministerial residence, is the base unit of mathematical equation principal. Decimals are represented by ten and then there is a percentage that uses one hundred as its base. Fractions can use any number as its base.

The Fibonacci series of numbers appear to be the code of nature as they can be found in the formation of sun flowers and many other petal formations. The spiral drawn from a series of boxes is a reflection of the shape of many shelled creatures. This is the Fibonacci numbers. Each number is added to its predecessor.

1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, this continues indefinitely.

Numbers are more than numeracy, more than a mathematical base for me. Numbers represent historical importance, memory links, they introduce ideas for how systems can be run, what can be done and how equations can equate to almost every area of life.

Renewable Energy.

The government has recently announced the building of a new nuclear power station. I immediately thought that is rather odd as they have dotted the landscape with wind turbines in the hope that it will promote a cleaner, more eco-friendly energy production. Have they given up on the idea of renewable energy? If they need some inspiration on ecological ideas, what about sewage power stations and refuse collection stations turned into energy stations. That way you transform a perpetual form of waste into usable energy and you do not pollute the environment for thousands of years with waste nuclear pollutants.

A long time ago I noticed a natural phenomena at a locally well known, tall building and that was that there seems to be a natural permanent strong force of air almost constantly around the top of it and the idea came to me that this would be an ideal place to have a wind turbine. The obvious benefit is as there already is a building the turbine would not have to be erected in any areas of beauty and an already in existence resource could be utilised to produce a positive outflow of energy. Of course the type of turbine would not be a thee sail copy but a vertical automatic adjustable vain hidden unit.

To me there seems so many potential ways of producing renewable energy. Wind, tide, wave, sun light, geothermal and biomass.

Firstly I look at any natural perpetual costs and see how it can be adapted into energy production and then review all natural geographical features. The United Kingdom is an island so the first thought is focused on all types of water energy. There are redundant coal mines, could they be used for geothermal energy production?

Recent news broadcasts have featured vast areas that have suffered from flooding but this surplus of water must be a potential energy source. Millions will be spent to stop further flooding and that money could be combined into new power stations that are driven by the tons of flooding water that now will be redirected safely away from residential areas.

There could be a way of utilising super conductivity of an initial electric energy in a circuit that is perpetual. The priority to do this is without interfering with the initial circuit using transformers that supply the national grid with abundant energy.

There are gravity driven machines that look something like a bicycle wheel with no tyre that continually rotate due to an altering bias of balance. This is caused by the individual changing length of each spoke. Something like a see-saw that when one side extends and retracts as the wheel rotates. This extension and retraction is automatic due to the momentum and rotating of the wheel.

Of one thing I am sure if I do not look for something new and revolutionary I will never find it. Progress depends on the will and determination to explore new avenues as was in the past with such innovations as the sewage system, cars and planes.

The future of renewable energy may lay in the general public's hands as more and more energy efficient houses are being built. These buildings not only have eco-friendly appeal but have a potential to produce surplus energy.

It is not always the safest plan to stay where you are. When I consider the escalating costs and delays associated with the construction of this new nuclear power station, the acknowledged ecological need for housing, the consequence of an additional power station could actually make the new nuclear energy too expensive to run as the demand would drop for its energy and it could become a very expensive white elephant.

Art Exhibition.

Join me in my imaginary art exhibition and of course the first pieces to note are the early cave descriptive portrayals of everyday life. They include hunting scenes, vivid life like looks at an all important activity, but what is this? Saucer shaped vehicles and a space suited being. Are they a true depiction of reality or an early and historic creative imagination?

Should art be the kick start for creativity or merely a copy of every day life. In the hands of the great Renaissance artists the mundane has a depth of quality and realism that is breath taking in its creation. The Mona Lisa and the sculpture of David are fine examples of the point.

At the time before film, art was an important tool, King Henry VIII commissioned Hans Holbein the younger to bring him a portrait of his future wife Anne of Cleaves. King Henry VIII later blamed the doomed marriage on the artist for flattering his future wife in the portrait. Among his other portraits were one of the King as well as other notable figures of that time.

I can not ignore Whistler's Mother and Mr Bean's feature film and his hilarious description of his full time job. “What do you do? “
“I look at paintings.”

In a way we all look at art, we absorb what we see differently and this can be the basis for why art is so important to our culture and history. Art can be unique as in the popular Lowry stick character portrayals of industrial life, it can define and distinguish opinions about large topics that can influence us all.

The next display seems to be mid reorganization as there are no pictures but the decorator has left blocks of different colours where the pictures should be hanging.
“Oh no, I seem to have got it wrong. Those are the pictures.”

Pablo Picasso was trained as a conventional painter until he was taken with the notion of the unusual and created mind blowing distorted images in the form of Cubism.

Surrealism as depicted by Salvador Dali and his floating face entitled sleep became one of the leaders in this art form.

There is an awe and appeal in depicting ideas in new mind provoking ways and the Turner prize has encouraged and rewarded artists in their quest for new work to meet a stylistic but statement filled scope.

Have I taken a wrong turn and disturbed somebody in their home? Well not quite it is the famous unmade bed and discarded trash of Tracey Emin.

I had better take care and not pick up any discarded waste paper laying on the floor just in case it is somebody's priceless art creation. If you have ever had this fear, then it could be justified as it has actually happened in some art museums.

I think in art as in life people should be free to have likes and dislikes but not impose these preferences on others.

As always there are some people who like to think they know it all and after loudly describing the art work will claim knowledge of the mental state and drive the artist felt at the time of having first put brush to paint. While some individuals may be able to do this there are those who have stated they knew it all but then fell silent when introduced to the real artists in question. Unfortunately he was not able to see if he was correct as the elephant and chimpanzee were not in a talking mood.

Discipline.

Just recently I saw a film where the main character had built her life around writing. She had used her own family as material to publicly make known her ideas of rules that she thought were necessary to raise a successful family and prepare her own children for the life ahead of them. Unfortunately her husband was carrying on a secret affair and once this became public knowledge it destroyed her successful home life family image. This reminded me of a real life event where a doctor of psychology had published a very successful book on bringing up children and later a disastrous personal event of his own saw his adult grandson committing suicide. Some of the psychologist's suggestions were challenged and disputed, amongst these were specific arguments over placing an infant on its front as it is claimed this could cause a great number of unnecessary deaths.

In my own life it is only in later years that I can see how if my parents had not enforced a certain amount of family discipline into routine so many disasters could have occurred. In contrast a neighbour's son had a family of two young children and the mother and father were constantly arguing over the right way to bring them up. The mother allowed her children to do whatever they liked and was prepared to dispute with anybody who thought otherwise on freedom for children to do as they pleased and unfortunately many of these debates were taken up especially with her husband. I am unable to say what happened to the children as one visit to their house was all I experienced. In that one visit I did note that the surroundings in the house had a unique creative modern art theme of paint and crayon plus what I guess was brown plasticine that had somehow hardened with streamers hanging down from it. I was invited to sit down although all the seats were occupied by ripped comics and books, there were also broken toys strewn around in a haphazard modern art display type of look. I declined an offer of a cup of tea as there was a strong pungent smell of urine in the room and I noticed a half used toilet roll that obviously had been dropped in the toilet and rescued to dry out laying amongst the toys. While I was there the little boy and girl decided they both wanted the same toy at once and in the struggle I looked up to see if either parent would intervene. There was a loud thump and a burst of tears as the brother had managed to swing round the toy and his sister who had been holding on to it into the wall, this seemed to loosened her grip on the object considerably and to make her displeasure evident she loudly complained about it. I decided it was at that time the appropriate juncture for me to leave. The next I heard about the neighbour's son I was told they were divorced and he had found himself another partner but I have to say I was a little surprised to learn he had become a reverend.

Rules or no rules? Would society be happier or safer if laws on drugs, alcohol and the minimum age of consent were all scrapped. If there are no rules are you free to do whatever you like? Does the age in which we live mean that rules should be altered or reviewed? Do you have to live by example and if you explain something as a mistake should all your principles be ignored?

When the concept of rules no longer being applied to society is mentioned many people may think of historical examples of this. Cults can be frightening as they are potentially corrosive and under the guise of giving greater freedom and knowledge impose their own type of control by promising enlightenment. There have been some tragic incidents of mass suicide, in cult organisations, by a large number of followers which included children. Sometimes there is a point of conflict from outside the cult and mass suicide is chosen to preserve the claimed integrity.

Are rules a means of protecting freedom for all? Is the alternative anarchy and debauchery? In some individual instances rules seem to outweigh the good with trauma. There is a philosophy if each individual does right in all things then collectively society will benefit. This maybe the logic that links many examples and instances but for me I think each case has to be judged on its own merit.

Loch Ness Legend.

In the vast, largest loch in Scotland occasionally is caught a glimpse of a mysterious apparition. Is it the light casting shadows or could it be explained by a floating log? Could it really be a living breathing, creature, maybe a link to prehistoric times?

The first reported sighting of the Loch Ness Monster was on the 2nd of May 1933 by a couple driving along a newly completed road, but numerous sightings have been reported since then. Something to note is a varying description of the creature's form suggesting that maybe it is not one creature or that the observations were not of the same creature. Could it be that as there is an outlet that opens the loch out to the sea, Loch Ness has visitors unknown which live beneath the water's surface. There are a number of visiting creatures that have been discovered in the loch and as there is a limited amount of potential food that would be necessary to sustain a prehistoric creature living full time in that same body of water one has to debate how viable such a theory is. On the 9th of October in 1987 a full scale search using modern detection equipment failed to find Nessie. Although Operation Deep Scan did find three unexplained contacts of a size that did not match known creatures they expected to be present in that expanse of water. While it is not conclusive proof there is no definitive evidence that can distinctly indicate the non existence of the Loch Ness Monster.

One known fact is for certain and that is the idea of a Loch Ness Monster has been a positive trigger for the imagination over a great number of years. Intriguing is the notion that if the original sighting is the same as the present day claims of a Loch Ness Monster then the spoken of aquatic lake dweller would be at least eighty three years old.

Saint Columba who introduced Christianity to Scotland is reported by a seventh century biographer to have had an encounter with a beast that inhabited Loch Ness. At that time it had been reported several people had been killed by the sea creature that inhabited the loch. Saint Columba commanded the creature never to attack and kill a human and from that time no more deaths were reported.

There always is a possibility that imagination can exaggerate and overtake the facts but on the other side of this most interesting unknown is the many reports that have identified a sighting and I am reminded of the saying that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. Is it likely that so many sightings could all be explained by misunderstandings and imagination.

Sleeping.

One of the most common activities I believe needs some careful thought as Shakespeare put it in this famous part quote perchance to dream, from Hamlet. Sleep can vary enormously in its quality and enjoyment and there are some basic simple actions to ensure a restful sleep. As a young boy I experienced a period of extreme disturbed sleep. As a result I used to fall asleep during lessons at school but at night time I was trapped in a viscous circle of endless nightmares of epic proportions. My pyjamas were constantly soaking wet with sweat and on waking I was terrified of going back to sleep as the nightmares were uncontrollable. Yet there were times that were memorable as on Christmas eve after a warm bath I snuggled in the clean newly made bed in great excitement as in the morning I could open all my Christmas presents and in no time I was in a glorious deep sleep.

In later years it had never occurred to me how deliberate sleep deprivation can be used as a form of torture and now it seems obvious that recently it should be confirmed while sleeping an important action takes place. Only when we are asleep the brain cleans all the detritus that has accumulated and we actually grow while asleep. Important repair of the body take place and we regain energy for the start of a new day.

The beauty of sleep for me was portrayed in a wax work display of breath taking art. The subject of course was a life size breathing sleeping blond vision of female chemistry in such a life like but frozen form waiting for the kiss of her prince charming to break the spell.

Can there be anything greater than the emotion created in a parents heart than seeing their recumbent child deep in dreams of exploration and mystery? So changed from exasperating endless questions of why during the day. Of course not all children are the same when wide awake but once they cross the threshold of sleep they transform into little angels so precious and dear.

I think of sleep as starting a journey and a little preparation can make a great difference in the ensuing sleep. Some of this may sound obvious. I have a regular routine and time to be in bed and a wake up time. I try not to have a heavy meal or caffeine drink within three hours of going to bed. I do not take a nap or rest just before sleep as that is a recipe for disaster, in fact a little physical exercise during the day will ensure the body is ready for sleep. I make sure every part of my body is relaxed especially the neck and concentrate on my breathing by taking deeper and longer breaths. If like me your mind is constantly busy I deliberately think of a repetitive thought like Alice in Wonderland falling down a rabbits hole falling, falling, falling.

A major happening that will interfere with a good sleep is a pressing problem that if I do not take control will keep me awake all night tossing and turning, mulling it over and over. Although it sounds easy to say staying awake all night this will not help to solve my problem. Often after a night's rest in the morning events could have changed and my subconscious mind may pop a solution into my head in a way that I could not have imagined.

Sleep can pass through several different stages indicated by eye movement and awareness, from light to deep which is more beneficial. There is a natural period of sleep immobility that occasionally could last a few minutes while wakening. This is harmless although a little alarming.

It is remarkable that in an action that is so regular as sleep I have hardly thought a moment how important an influence it has on my whole well being. It just takes a little bit of conscious effort to radically improve my enjoyment of sleep.

Finally I would like to share in rhyme a little anecdote.

What greater pleasure can there be, than to snore contentedly.
So roughly brought to a halt with a painful physical retort.
My better half complains “You are doing it again.”
A resolution must be found to noise so profound.
Next night I install something that is small and tight.
It neatly fits in my proboscises although painful of its closeness.
My ribs I do complain are poked yet again.
The snoring as loud as before. As loud as banging on a door
Why does it not wake me? It does not even shake me.
I search in vain my face the device no longer in it's place.
A journey long and far although it did not leave a scar.
Between my toes it has travelled from my nose.

Food and Health.

Have I ever thought about how my body absorbs the food I eat? It was quite a shock to realise how a simple understanding of what happens to the food I eat can make such an alteration to my whole well being. The UK population in general is well over 50% overweight. Why is this important? Well being and good health diminishes with being overweight. Even my ageing and length of life can depend on being within normal standards of weight for my age and height.

A fundamental point is medical fads can influence your thinking and course of action towards your health, for example there are different medical warnings such as...my total cholesterol must be under a certain number, free radicals are dangerous and can cause cancer, oxidants are bad and antioxidants are good and inflammation can cause heart attacks or stroke. It is useful to have an understanding of what is considered important by the medical clinicians but contradictory information can cause unnecessary panic. Medical facts should be used as a basis along with individual thought on what is the right balance for you.

Most of my cholesterol is made in my liver and has an important job to do. It keeps me healthy by providing the substance to make new cells. The term good and bad is applied to cholesterol without highlighting the overall need for cholesterol and pointing out that an important part of cholesterol is cleaning and hoovering up waste particles that could cause a health problem. The important point with cholesterol is keeping the balance of the cleaning cholesterol high. HDL also termed by me as the cleaning cholesterol does more than just cleaning, it is a vital ally to have in the body.

A free radical is an incomplete molecule eagerly looking for a partner and is a natural part of the mechanism of the body and it too does various good jobs to keep the body healthy. The reason why there is a notoriety connected with free radicals is a possible damaging union that can form with DNA or other important cells and there is a possibility of these being corrupted. The body is able to keep a balance of naturally occurring free radicals. An antioxidant readily combines with a free radical and a healthy diet of fresh vegetable and fruit as well as maybe fish oil and nuts will easily be sufficient to ensure good health.

Inflammation is a build up of damaged cells and the bodies own defence mechanism tries to cover the area and this can cause a blockage in an artery. If I do not keep an eye on what I am eating and monitor my outgoing activity, or the lack of it, the pounds of excess fat quickly builds up and can cause health problems. As I have suffered with heart problems I now know the facts on how important balance is in life. Balance the amount of your intake against your outgoing ability to reduce cholesterol and ta dah your health should improve. It is simple. Most of us know this, but the key is in being able to maintain what is the right balance for you.

Food is not my enemy. It can be difficult to have a balanced view of something that is so important to our health. There are many misunderstandings about what are labelled as good and bad foods. As a typical rule no food should be banned but once again balance is the main guide to use. Quantity is important, a portion of food should not be excessive or not enough. What, how and when one eats can all be imperative to health. We have looked at the what but the how and when are significant to our metabolic breakdown of what we eat. How I eat can actually be a cause for my weight increase or decrease. I have a habit of eating too quickly so I deliberately try to slow my eating by chewing each mouthful. Not only does this ensure my food is processed, digested and broken down in the right way, it also means that I get fuller quicker! If you don't already do this or have not tried it before, why don't you give it a go? The type of food I eat is important because of how fat is distributed for energy and if not used, stored for later use. The greater the amount of carbohydrates I eat the smaller the size of cholesterol particles in my body system. Why is the size of cholesterol particle important? The small particles tend more easily to become trapped inside an artery and cause problems whereas large particles do not so easily penetrate into the circulatory system. Another benefit of cutting down on carbohydrates, combined with enough exercise can reduce my weight and that naturally will reduce blood pressure. When I eat can impact on how I digest what I have eaten. Generally eating heavy meals later in the evening can cause difficulty in digestion, sleep and has been known to increase weight gain.

It has been found people who lead a sedimentary life style can on sudden strenuous exercise greatly increase the amount of oxygen intake and that can cause a larger amount of free radicals, this could have a potential for a dangerous influence on the body. So by slowly building my degree of exercise I lessen this possibility. In countries such as China small amounts of regular, gentle exercise has been implemented into many people's work lives and with western nations only recently announcing how important movement is to one's length of life, one can see how much benefit there is in regularly interjecting activity into longer periods of immobility.

There are tips, life saving pieces of information such as...it is important for the metabolism of the body to drink at least eight glasses of water each day, that can mean one is able to function at full health or not. We may have heard of these facts and need a reminder, we may have lapsed in how well we do them or we may not even know about them but I hope that this blog will give you a few useful life links, healthy hints and logical lifelines to an improved daily routine.

Dinosaurs on Mars.

Were there dinosaurs on Mars? A collection of possible skeleton remnants have been seen on Mars that would indicate dinosaurs that were many times larger than their earth counterpart. One possible explanation for this is that the gravity of Mars is a lot weaker than on earth and that would enable greater growth.

An interesting point is the scattering of basic life essential building blocks have been found in meteorites indicating that life did not originate on earth but that earth was a grateful host to facilitate the explosion of all types of varied life. This idea is not new but the possibility of extraterrestrial beings is becoming more of a probability as our understanding of the size of the known universe grows dramatically from the first notion of the earth being at the centre of creation. A fundamental argument has been where are the extraterrestrials if they exist? They could have already visited earth as artefacts have been found dated to four hundred million years old. These artefacts have gears that are made of metal. Clearly before metal had existed and before modern man had even discovered how to make metal objects. Some people believe monuments have been constructed by an advanced technology and these may well be an explanation as for how some of our most intriguing but unexplained mysteries originated.

Could there be an even simpler answer? Could it be that at a time before modern man E.T. had arrived on earth and had colonised it to only at a later time either leave again or that they had been destroyed by a natural disaster, something like Atlantis sinking below the Ocean waves never to be seen again.

In an African mine small round metallic objects about an inch in diameter have been found in rock 2.8 billions years old. That is during the Precambrian era. The rock formation is sedimentary and relatively soft. The spheres could not have occurred naturally as they have a triple circular paten of indentation around the circumference. Some of the spheres are hollow with a white spongy substance in them, others rare solid metal with blueish spots. Where could they have come from and who made them? There are some who have theories that this could be the work of visitors from another planet.

Even the geological evolution and the structure of the earth itself has been greatly affected by objects from outer space as some of the water is believed to have been deposited over the years from this type of collision. Something drastic happened as there was an era of rusting that could only happen when oxygen is present in the atmosphere.

Over the years the earth has been bombarded by objects from outer space. Indeed the moon could have been created by a giant Asteroid colliding with earth. It is a paradox that life could have been kick-started by objects from space and similar objects are believed to several times wiped out most of the prevailing life forms. A crater off the Mexico coast is believed to be the site of a meteorite that caused the demise of most of the dinosaurs.

Recently in Russia a meteor caused a swathe of flattened trees and scorched destruction killing a great number of the population. The twist to this event is the meteor was destroyed by a UFO. The resulting explosion was many times the brightness of the Sun and the energy was equal to 500 kilotons.

If a spaceship landed or crashed would the government allow the public information about contact or as with Roswell would they announce a spaceship has crashed and then describe it as a weather balloon. Eyewitnesses who were first on the scene described four small bodies unlike earth beings. A blanket of silence was quickly covered over about all possible confirmation of the crashed flying saucer.

What about reports by police and military personal stating they have observed unexplained flying objects. Can they all just be imagination or were they real contact with an E.T.

There is one more possibility. Life could exist in another part of the universe but at such a distance from us to be impossible for travel or contact. There are theories about worm holes that would allow instant travel but do they really exist?

Because you have neighbours does not mean that you would automatically visit them. The more prudent action might be to observe them first. Considering the many world difficulties of wars, domination and inequality it may not be surprising if E.T. is not all too keen to make their presence known.

Quantitative Medicine.

There will often be a time in most peoples' lives when they will need medical advice and of course then comes the very important decision. Will this do me more harm than good? Prescribed medication can be a necessity and at times for many it is a life saver. Understanding the implications of what a specific medicine does is significant to one's quality of life. Particular medicine can be known to have a high probability of damaging other important organs and while it can improve one ailment, it can also be the means for deterioration in other areas of the body. It is because of this that a careful check will generally be advised by a doctor to ensue that by monitoring blood samples any dreaded deterioration in the organ function can be highlighted early on. The doctor then may reduce or try an alternative medication but regularly these can have the same predicted damaging side effects. There is of course a dilemma if one has to take heart medication that will then then damage the kidney function beyond repair. If one's kidneys do not the job they need to do they will have to put more strain on the already impaired heart. Is there an alternative? One must always look at the severity and nature of the medical problem, for some medicine may be the considered route to health, for others alternative treatments may be preferable and in some cases there could be an active combination of the two working alongside each other.

When asking myself if a medication could do more harm than good I came across a unique website. I started to look at the specifics of alternative medication and found that it is not as I had first thought. There is not a one size fits all idea and one does not have to subscribe to a particular method if it is not right for them. One theory that appealed to me is called quantitative medicine. The philosophy is to treat without medication life threatening disease.

Many do concur that within the body are the tools that are necessary to from the inside treat deep set problems of the circulatory system. It is only by fully understanding how the body works that an insight can be found as to how to treat joint problems. I found it of interest to note how many logical tips and tools there are in how one can implement a healthy routine into your life. Interestingly a fact that seemed to resonate with me was one I found on the website, it states that one will see how a lifetime choice of certain foods will promote an alteration in the chemical process of the body and combining that with the correct type of exercise could put you on the right path for good health.

I must stress simply not taking medicine is not the answer. One has to make sure an adequate, effective treatment is working and keep checking the results. Just because you feel well does not mean all is as it should be. The nature of certain conditions means that one has to be sure of what they do, massive improvements can take place but this is generally after careful choice and consistent practice. Implementing natural or alternatives to medicine does not mean one has to stay away from medical advice. It is by working with both natural means of exercise, taking plant bases sterols, superfoods and medical advise that I have benefited.

NHS intervention saved my life. I appreciate what the medical staff and emergency medication can do. It is ironic that without swift intervention by the NHS I would have surely died but the same NHS were not prescribing any reversal drugs for my condition. After my first attack the surgeon told me that one of my arteries had been left with an 85% blockage and it was a borderline decision whether to clear it. So I was sent home but I was warned that on noting any symptoms that I should immediately call 999. Two years later I had my second attack without warning and needed ambulance emergency transport for immediate treatment.

Now I know about Quantitative Medicine it is my declared intention to follow it as a guide as I do not wish to experience a third attack.

I pondered for a while whether to publish information about the website but it involves such an important life and death issue. Medicine, as with many decisions in life, is up to the individual but always consider what an action will do for you. I believe the public at large should be aware of the existence of alternatives and natural options that can impact positively on one's health.
