Aliens.

The possibility of there being life elsewhere in the vast universe, is a fascinating possibility. It has come to mind, as recently an eminent cosmologist has vestured the thought of observing a possible part of an advanced technology object. What sets it apart from other finds is, because of its appearance, it can not be explained as having come from an object of natural occurrence. A lot of radiation that is inconsistent with a natural source, this surely can only stir the imagination?

Over the years various objects have been discovered, here on Earth, that are not consistent with the technology of the age in which they were associated. Mysterious as for how they could have possibly been built or put together based on the known technology of the time, these wonders have shaped many theories and historical speculations.

Science Fiction is one of those areas that can pose particularly, spectacular questions. Ones which involve parameters and extremes of thought. Arguably some professors, when asked on the subject, will defiantly declare aliens an impossibility as they put forward the primary reasons that have not contacted us and that the supposed physical distance is far too great to travel.

Theoretically if aliens have the technology to travel to earth they would also be aware of how certain populations have treated what they believe to be inferiors and the complete hysteria and panic that would potentially take place at the prospect of superior intellect contacting Earth.

I really enjoyed a serial film based on the idea of aliens who had landed on Earth but chose not to reveal their presences by assuming the disguise of entering the bodies of humans. You might have heard of this series? It brought about a notion that could blend sci-fi with a very real everyday society.

A few years back we thought the universe consisted of one galaxy and now we know it is one hundred billion in the observable universe. Couple that with the time that humanity, with the ability to actually look for alien life, and it is not surprising none at the moment have been found.

What about the four and a half billion years where aliens could have visited earth but saw it had no relative intelligent life to them? I know, this could not have ever have been a possibility!

A novel twist although not a new idea, is that we in a collective sense, are in fact the aliens. The essence of life did not originate on Earth, it has been postulated that there has not been enough time for the vital assembly of reproducing basic components of life to be assembled on Earth. Within the universe there is a constant barrage of meteors carrying the essentials with which to start life. This is not such an unreasonable possibility, as meteors even now are still landing on earth with those vital components. A further vital component of life may have been delivered to Earth via our water carrying meteors, ones that have a distinctive trace of matching water that is on the earth now.

The process involved for the development of life on Earth has a distinctive chemical base but that does not mean it can be the only way for life to exist. Are we limiting our search and scope of possible alien life by only considering Goldilocks planets as potential alien homes? What about satellites and vast clouds of gases that may have incubated the initial particles for our own life forms?

As ninety five per cent of our universe is not understood maybe when we have a weird feeling
of being watched or items are moved to places that we did not put them, could it be the aliens are already here?

Antioxidants.

Have you ever wondered what an antioxidant is? It is another one of those super words that are frequently used to encourage an interest in superfoods and keeping healthy. It might be used heavily but do not let that put you off or lull you into a false sense of importance because when it comes to health, antioxidants can be game changers.

The body already has a cascade system of dealing with unbalanced cells that have the potential to create havoc within the body. To operate efficiently, the body needs support by a constant supply of vitamins and nutrients as it can not naturally easily produce all the elements that are necessary to be in an optimum state of health. However the cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower and indeed a wide range of fruit and vegetables and nuts can naturally provide the important level of support that the body needs.

The body naturally produces unbalanced cells from the environment and biological functions. A healthy diet and lifestyle can neutralise the damaging affect of the unbalanced molecule which is looking for an unpaired electron. An antioxidant has an unpaired electron, that can be given up without damage, to the donor and have been known to stabilise the situation.

A vital part of keeping the body healthy is the constant attention that is necessary to ensure that there is enough vitamin C as unlike some mammals the human body is not able to synthesise or store this vital vitamin for more than maybe forty-eight hours. That is why historically without this vitamin sailors developed scurvy. Scurvy can cause soreness, tiredness, diminishing quality or loss of hair, weakness, bleeding from the skin and gums, ulcers and serious complications in the body. While scurvy can still be a disease directly attributed to a bad diet or smoking, it can be treated and does evidence the importance of a need for proper absorption of vitamins in the human body.

Another important molecule for good health is CoQ10 which is like an activator for the cells to function efficiently. Although this can be found in some foods, a better way to increase not only CoQ10 but other good molecules, is active exercise. I believe the body has a vast capacity for repair and stimulating health and that using exercise as a resource is the best way to utilise this capability.

The body normally produces CoQ10 unless for some reason its production is interfered with and unfortunately over time as we grow older the level of production can drop. So in a way good sleep and exercise can be the antidote for the signs of a rapid ageing process.

Vitamin C with its antioxidant power is generally associated with citrous fruits but the antioxidant properties can be found in other food resources. Did you know that antioxidants can be found in food classifications such as in specific herbs and spices.

The reason why health organisations recommend a regular five a day of fruit and vegetables could be to combat oxidative stress. Oxidative stress can result in chronic diseases and consequently antioxidant rich foods can counteract this occurrence.

It is vital to keep in mind that a few boosts of vitamins and nutrients can have a large impact on how the body functions. How these vitamins are taken can have an influence on how and where the positive attributes are felt. Students can do better in exams and certain people have been able to stave off particular conditions just through having a better balanced vitamin intake. Promoting good vitamin practice does not have to be complicated and by far naturally supplementing the body with a balanced vitamin diet is a good means of establishing well being, health and wellness.

Democracy.

A good maxim is, never talk about politics but at the present time in the UK one can not get away from the perpetual onslaught of the political decision come dilemma which is... Brexit.

At the moment democracy is heralded as the way to decide important issues but there in lies the practical problem. How to enact the peoples’ will when the powers that be do not collectively share the same view or agree about the view they do have.

It has well been known it is impossible to please everybody but this is especially true when there are so many conflicting positions that need to be addressed.

For years, in some cases, the anomaly of the first past the post system has been implemented to choose who is able to represent a constituency and hence it is rather strange that a referendum is considered an appropriate way to decide the future of the UK. Yet for all its obvious faults the first past the post practice still compares better than some other notable, supposedly democratic, organised institutions carrying the flag for freedom. When individual rights of citizens are held hostage to a singular dogma, is it not time to question what type of democracy it is.

Can there be a better system, or simply an improvement to the current one, by correcting failures that obviously diminish the good on an individual scale within the population.

Trial and error has evolved a system of democratic leadership, however it should be noted that the failings of a dictatorship whether under the title monarchy or constitutional, a singular domination still is doomed to repeat historically documented former follies.

Promoting positive responses and political action for the majority is at the heart of an ideal democracy. Bringing about a more egalitarian platform should be the staple of any democratic process, however recently I feel that better definition and a more pragmatic approach needs to be taken in terms of emphasising political practice. If division threatens to taint an ideal democracy, then perhaps a meeting of minds should focus on the areas upon which compromise and agreements can be considered. Politics, as a vehicle of change, might not serve to unite everybody but as long as it acts for the greater good then it can be used to reform and reinvent a better future.

Potential Change.

Life sometimes could be thought of as a full time job and one with no time to really look at ourselves. What do I mean by this? Some might feel that self-reflection is a pointless or fruitless task because after all, we are what we are. But is that really true?

I believe, within all of us is the potential to change, not just mentally but physically. The point is how much is the force of will to do so and of course what is the reward for a new you? Any change will need a basic understanding of where we are as a person. It may not always be very comfortable being honest with ourselves but even the exercise of reflecting on our own perception of ourselves is often really worthwhile. There are several significant reasons for doing this. We all have a preconceived picture of ourselves but a bit of self-reflection can warrant a far more factual assessment and can be a bases for achieving what one may have thought to be impossible.

The limiting factor for the achievable, can usually resonate in our own mental state of mind, and to overcome that it is necessary to fully use the imagination and go through each step seeing ourselves successfully completing those important actions for achieving personal goals. The more this is done the probability of completing the real task successfully is far more assured.

Even the IQ can be increased by utilising and stimulating, more effectively, the brain power that you had in the first place. In this sense the brain is like a muscle and exercise has a positive affect on its capability to achieve far more by expanding it in terms of levels. Active practice at solving puzzles will indicate patterns of procedure that can improve speed and aptitude. Identifying and grouping objects is a starting point for many brain training tasks and in asking questions it will help to improve stamina for memory recall. The imagination and checking assumptions are invaluable for removing obstacles to a solution.

Age should never be seen as a barrier to accomplishing something new. In fact expanding the mental and physical capability should be a lifetime occupation and this is for the simple fact that it is very healthy and indeed contributes to staying young in mind, spirit and the feeling of the body.

When it comes to developing the physique there is an important barrier whereby overdoing things can be far from positive and in fact detrimental to one’s health but when properly warmed up new muscle and strength is gained by progressively increasing the limits of capability at the maximum point.

Resting properly between exercises is not just good for building up a healthy pace of increased activity but it is vital to attaining the full benefit of any exercise. Many people might have painful experience after an overindulgent spate of exercise and consequently the following day hardly being able to walk as every muscle screams in agony. Doing things the right way means that any potential for change can be properly enhanced and harnessed. Usually shortcuts are not the answer and can only lead to short-term improvement and long-term failure. Ultimately any potential for change has to start with a desire for it. It can be extremely useful to take a look at oneself and decide if they are happy with how they are progressing because often improvements of any sort can be greatly beneficial and game changers when it comes to how happy we feel.

Blind Faith.

As a child, generally people will accept the code and moral standard of their parents or guardians, but eventually questions and a search for certain answers to many intriguing questions could arise.

These queries could take the form of wider ideas such as, where has everything come from? What is freedom of thought and action? Why does life have to end? What is eternity? Can anything physical have the quality of infinity?

In response to these big bonus qualifiers, one might themselves pose the questionable thought that if I know the answer to these questions, how will it make a difference to the means by which I choose a reliable code for living? Basically, do these questions qualify as an influence on how I live my life?

Cultures and societies have over time established codes and practices which they feel best demonstrate their ideologies on faith. This got me thinking, what criteria would be useful to pick if one was to have a most ideal view of a faith? Is this even a possibility?

In asking this I based my ideas on what resources I have already, my moral conscious being my primary asset. Tools of the trade in this area of thought have to be a trusty moral code and a mind to querying how historically a faith has established itself into the ingrained lives of a society or community. How compatible has their faith been with the ideological view of what is right and wrong?

Some claim supreme knowledge of everything and offer a way to join the elite who are then promised to be rewarded beyond belief. All you need is faith and accept without question whatever demands are made to treat your fellow man and then surely an attainable sense of overall achievement will be yours.

The problem is, we are human beings, and although we aspire to great ideals and maybe brandish symbols of our chosen code, when it comes to action many of us fail to check our own individual conscience and may perpetrate atrocities. To keep faith with misgivings there have been examples whereby applicable has been a twisted logic and justification of actions with the shield of a chosen code.

Personal faith is significant and it can culminate from experience, latter learning on a subject or both. Faith is extremely important on an individual and wider scale but there are times when one might ask, what value is blind faith that can achieve so much good and at seemingly the same time evil, yet we all make a thinking choice when we choose a particular code to live by and to adhere.

It does not matter what we call ourselves, we are all human beings first and each of us deserve to be treated in the right way.

When it comes to choosing a code for living there are some basic points to consider. The survival of the human species, to a large extent depends on co-operation of many different societies and populations. It is not necessary to all have the same code for living because it is how you treat other people that is important. If everyone cares for his fellow man no matter what their code for life is, that truly is a value worth striving for, no matter what the circumstances.

The Beauty Elixir.

Historical myths and incredible stories have a significant place in my heart. One particular and extremely interesting reference to this comes to mind. It is believed that Cleopatra VII Philopator, the pharaoh of Egypt, is reported to have preserved her outstanding beauty by regularly bathing in ass’s milk. In fact, it required seven thousand beasts to accomplish this important task. This unusual action prompted me to think of what other activities people would have historically pursued in the quest for everlasting beauty. From drinking the blood of virgins to doing a deal with the devil to ensure perpetual youth, humanity has seemed to have a long-lived obsession with preserving age and immortality.

On the TV and in the media is a never-ending onslaught of enticing oils and creams, each one at what appears to me, exorbitant cost to preserve and enhance natures’ beauty. If that is not enough on come the various electronic contraptions with glowing red lights and claims of reliable capability to repel the ravages of time and leave the customer the envy of their companions. If I thought the creams were expensive they pale into insignificance by the cost of certain examples of electronic gadgetry.

Of course it is only right to have free choice and pursue what we believe will achieve a particular goal and presumably satisfy our desire to look our best. It may be no surprise that according to some figures twenty percent of UK women spend between ten and twenty pounds a month on beauty products and men similarly appear to be attuned to their aesthetics, as an average of thirty five pounds per month can be spent on grooming paraphernalia.

Age does itself seem to be a bit of an overt and hidden influencer, as in the pursuit to prevail one’s youthful looks, the older people get the more seems to be statistically spent on the beauty industry. Figures have shown that men in their forties double their spend on beauty concerns but interestingly as age hits that mid-range then the spending also seems to decrease slightly and average itself out.

My next observation might be highly controversial, as when it is pointed out a great number of people choose to engage in energetic social and sometimes stressful activities, that are counterproductive to the goal of maintaining youthful beauty.

Excess of anything, has over the years, been proven detrimental to good health and consequently can impact on the outer-appearance of the body. Despite the use of any beauty product or treatment, if a person does not maintain certain physical requirements then looks will never reflect that desired rested and youthful appearance. Almost everybody likes the appeal of a quick fix but in truth, if possible the commitment to a regular good sleep, exercise and mental relaxation regime could very well make a major difference to achieving that goal of youthful beauty.

Among all the major factors to obtain and maintain beauty and good health, is food. Many believe that a milestone in the discovery of dynamic importance is that of, Dr Weston A Price, a dentist who in the 1930s travelled and studied numerous populations to reveal who were the healthiest and also naturally had facial symmetry with excellent white teeth. He reported that it was not just what they ate but what they did not eat that was so important in maintaining the ideal of beauty. It should be pointed out the metabolic benefits, shown in his examples, included teeth, bones, the vascular system and elimination of most degenerative diseases. On completing his studies Dr Price produced a product that he called Activator X. He believed the western diet of sugar, white flower and processed foods contributed to tooth decay and chronic bad health. Dr Price’s conclusions were that a life style choice of prime foods would include butter from grass fed cows and cod liver oil, green leafed vegetables such as broccoli, spinach and lettuce.

There are certain attributes associated with beauty and many of these link with a sense of internal wellbeing. It might sound simple but happiness and laughter produce a feeling of euphoria, which in turn, has been known to enhance a look of radiance. Reflecting how the body feels on the inside, if one looks after their diet, this contribution can go great lengths in naturally improving the look of wellness. Consequently, if one looks after their internal health then this will have a beneficial influence on the external appearance. Being able to improve one’s mental and physical state of relaxation can dramatically alter appearance and often in these situations the onset of better health goes hand in hand with an enhanced aesthetic beauty.

Global Warming.

Trials and tribulations in life, there might be many, but it is strange that mankind has reached a pinnacle of technical capability and still there is a modern-day mass threat to human life.

Technically scientific knowledge has progressed and there is an ability to anticipate global catastrophes yet millions of the world’s inhabitants, if nothing is done about it, will suffer devastating consequences from global warming.

How is it possible that recently the news reported that millions of tones of ice will defrost and substantially rise the level of water throughout the world? This ice is in an area, that until now, was considered to be permanently part of the frozen ice caps. One would have thought that given an increase in scientific knowledge and capability, the safety of our environment would be enhanced and not in decline.

It is a united effort that is needed to achieve a common and important goal. Leaders of countries that are not supporting efforts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions are arguably exacerbating the problem of global warming. Nobody is impervious or immune to natural disasters and the consequences of a lack of action will be felt by everybody.

Terms of office might pass, generations could age and individuals negate the dangers of the future through a short-sighted gaze but in reality there is a lot to be lost by each person, whether they exist in the political arena or not.

It is up to the populations of every country to strongly stress the need for action and join the vast majority of people who are committed to properly and positively preserving the environment.

Who would imagine that in the twenty-first century leaders opposed to the issue of global warming could be fixated with trying to turn the clock back to outdated and ironically in the long-term expensive methods of producing energy. Actions causing economic conflict under the guise of national protection could only lead to a problematic future ahead. If one does not learn from history then it will surely repeat itself.

Economic war, hardship and military conflict does not have to happen. It is up to the people to protect their societies by ensuring that leaders properly understand this is not an issue for a minority but the majority and it is in the interest of everybody that the world remains a stable and productive environment for all of mankind.

At this time when many will be thinking of a new start and a beginning of a year yet to be, that it is imperative, on a small and large scale thoughts are turned to a more positive future. Possibilities are many and the desire is there but it is vital that politics is used as the vehicle for good that it is meant to be and alteration brings about an aid to a serious issue. If the influential policies of the future do realise and respond to a sensitive dilemma then a positive outlook can be restored.

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your nearest and dearest the most lovely Festive time. This Blog will be taking a short break but see you all again on January 7th 2019.

PC Christmas.

I believe that it is somewhat ironic that a symbol for hope and goodwill to all men should become a target for debate but due to recent news I have had to seriously consider the extreme politically correct implications which have, by some, been put upon this scenario.

Throughout the country and over many years the Christmas pageantry of the nativity has been associated with causing joy and unity. Traditional aspects of the season should ideally inspire the positive attributes of believing and the fact that religions should be cherished and respected. The lessons of the nativity are all about instigating the recognition that at one unified time people can think of others in a more sympathetic and empathetic way. Oddly and for some, intriguingly, a Scrooge type of humbug mentality has in some areas surfaced and banned has become the symbol of the nativity.

In certain arenas of public life in a reverse logic and under the guise of trying not to cause offence to those who may not hold a similar religious view, the issue of the nativity has been wrapped up in controversy. This Christmas gift might have missed the point as it is in this season particularly that the nativity highlights that mankind can express love, generosity and kindness to one and all. The idea is to emphasise unity and inclusion, not to specify who should be celebrating or indeed how they should be doing it. Religious beliefs should break barriers and not build them up.

A symbol of hope, generosity and wellbeing to all mankind is not to cause offence to any religion because surely there is a far more superior aspect of appreciation and acknowledgement that can be felt in the true sentiments of the season.

One of the major joys of Christmas is a coming together of all people and ages. It has been noted that the senior generation greatly enjoy the time spent with the very young and this type of integration has a positive surge on their mental and physical wellbeing.

Of course Christmas itself has roots in a Pagan celebration and as time passed the Romans adopted it to highlight the birth of a baby with all the promise of future happiness to be shared throughout the whole world.

Historically there have been innovations that have marked the celebrations and brought advancement with the occasions of each Christmas time. Individuals and organisations can arguably become self-obsessed in financial short-term goals and this can be at the cost of damage to heritage, tradition and culture. All these aspects can greatly enhance understanding in multiple societies.

Long live the spirit of Christmas in all it’s forms. A belief in the visit of a rotund. white bearded, red dressed jovial character, is a powerful incentive to be enjoyed for ever. As a child it teaches us to hope and to believe, as people grow older though it can in many ways matter more, because being able to have conviction and appreciate the benefit of doing good for others is a heartfelt notion that can only ever serve to provide positive inspiration.

Mental Health.

Mental disorders and mental health related problems could affect from one in five to one in ten people throughout the population of the world. Certain societies recognize mental health conditions to be a way of life and actively promote facilities to accommodate the demand for face to face communication.

There are specific acknowledged mental maladies that through treatment can be redressed. One specific but prolific area of known contribution to mental stability is social pressure. A part of social development is withstanding peer pressure and not allowing personal comments to damage one’s self esteem. Keeping a balance of verbal or physical action to reaction is essential to being able to withstand the rigours of many attributes of every day life. Allowing strains, stresses and external societal pressure to build on any one individual can result in mental trauma and subsequently this potentially to illness.

Often if mental health issues are experienced people will look for support from members of the family but their particular problems may be difficult to reveal and there may well be a fear of rejection or misunderstanding. If extreme dilemmas or worries of this nature are retained they can leave individuals vulnerable to looking for help from dangerous, alternative resources. Hence an ominous contact can then build into a false sense of security. It is so easy to unburden fears to someone appearing to be a caring, understanding listener but this kind of rapport is created with an unknown ultimate goal.

It is imperative that anybody enduring a mental health issue seek out the appropriate help. An accredited professional listener or recommended mental health advocate is the best route to obtaining the right care. Fortunately there are several established mental therapies that can, according to the degree of mental issue, improve one’s sense of wellbeing. Mindfulness, meditative therapies and a range of relaxation techniques can improve on feelings of distress or anxiousness, and all of these practices can work alongside with other therapies.

Mental health is a wide spectrum and the first step is recognising that on an individual basis, things are not as they should be, this is very important as ignoring symptoms could endanger one’s own future and the lives of other people around them. Pressures of life can appear insurmountable and everybody possesses, that continuous inside your head voice, which urges one on the brink of doing something incredibly life changing and final to continue until it might be too late. Goading and at times insistent, this kind of internal monologue can be a difficult barrier to overlook. The reptilian, emotional part of the brain can overwhelm at points of crisis and it is the intellectual side of the human brain that needs to overpower this thought process.

Life can be a struggle from the very first moment of conception through to the first faltering steps and early words of formed language. Autonomy is a difficult notion to grapple with when feeling at a low ebb because depression can strip away a person’s confidence. It is the reptilian and the human brain that have varying abilities and responses to appreciate or acknowledge experiences, predicaments and situations. Mental health is inevitably tied up with feelings and emotions. Fortunately in many examples readjusting how one is able to view and act upon aspects of life can improve one’s sense of being.

Feelings of isolation or worthlessness can be changed. Having ups and downs in life is normal but it’s what you do about it, that counts.

Far more enhanced is the acceptance of the influence that mental health has on all of our lives. In many countries proactive and positive approaches are being taken to exercising and stimulating the brain. Not only this, but in realising that our mental health is just as important as our physical health, a far more beneficial environment is being established in many more work places. There is still more to be done though and many more issues to be tackled. Developing a better support infrastructure in schools and in combatting specific stereotypes means that generationally, everybody will have a stronger and more defined sense of their own mental wellbeing.

Mental health, as is the case with physical health, can be greatly enhanced by doing the right things at what ever stage of life you are and more interesting is how physical activity can stimulate the brain. How you see the world and approach life is vital. Developing a sense of judgement is more useful than procrastinating about a problem. In each phase of life there are times, when under stress, mental problems could appear and become long term sociological problems. There are many natural habits that can be taught and adapted to fit into daily routines, exercises both mental and physical that can astoundingly improve multiple mental health issues. The most important objective to take, in regards to mental health, is to seek out help and speak out. If something is not right it does not have to remain so, and quite often things can radically improve, even beyond what one might have ever thought possible.

Fatty Facts.

It is so wonderful that medical science has reached a stage whereby the symptoms of multiple life threatening conditions can, in many cases, be reversed. The advancement, effort and dedication has meant that knowledge has grown and a great number of lives can continue to fulfil their purpose.

It is in the interest of contributing to that cause, that there are many areas of health and body maintenance resources which do entail a lot of information and potentially could enhance important life choices. I wish to draw attention to healthy foods and in view of bodily intake versus healthy output, tackle the debate on what are the most beneficial options.

Basically blood is a vital substance to balance. If you have the right distribution of fats within the blood then the focus and function of many organs in the body will be far more efficient.

What alters the balance of your blood everyday of your life? Food of course.

The correct food is a positive influential force for maintaining good health. But it can not do this by itself. Exercise, sleep and the right food combinations are all deciding factors and bearing in mind different foods trigger particular hormones, this kind of knowledge can have a significant affect on obtaining good health.

Which foods increase the distribution of fat within the blood? The answer is easy, all foods that increase the activity of insulin, which is a hormone that directs fat absorption and storage.

A second major hormone that directs fat storage in the blood is cortisol and this is triggered by stress. It can deposit storages of fat around the tummy area.

During sleep there is a counter acting hormone to cortisol. It is the human growth hormone which has a prime activity to repair and increase the reduction of fat. The major disruptor of human growth hormone is insomnia. It is suggested that eight hours restful sleep each night would be desirable for the most efficient activity of the human growth hormone.

Exercise is good for you! Ok, logical and not the most astounding of facts you might be thinking BUT knowing about and doing the most beneficial exercises can actually have a lot of impact on your body. Exercises and activities that involve several different groups of muscles and joints stimulate the human growth hormone over a twenty four hour period. This can really promote useful and positive heart health and a balancing out of fats in the blood.

When it comes to food, edible fat is generally associated with putting on the pounds but in fact absorbing the right fats can help you to loose weight. The positive oils and fats are omega three found in oily fish such as salmon, sardines and cod liver oil, they also all contain vitamin D.

Green vegetables have healthy minerals and vitamins. They contain fibre which helps to slow
fat storage and increase fat burning. Potassium is an essential requirement for good health and ensures that sugar (glycogen) in the blood is maintained as sugar in (glycogen) form and are not stored as fat.

Nuts get in on the act when thinking about those fatty facts because they do something remarkable, they stimulate the human body to produce nitric oxide that then relaxes the blood carrying vessels.

Foods that naturally contain vitamins and can help balance out our diet are grass fed cows’ butter and various K2 rich cheeses. This vitamin is called K2 and it naturally combines with vitamin D to direct calcium into bones and teeth, exactly where we want it to be.

In modern thinking the culprit for poor health is sugar, not just a spoon full of sugar but the unseen liquid sweet drinks and although it does not look like it, some carbohydrates have the capacity to transform into sugars and be stored as unhealthy fat.

Inflammation is also a prime agent for ill health as this can be caused by natural actions of the body when molecules become unbalanced and form inappropriate bonds. To counter this, foods rich in antitoxins are recommended. Vegetables such as spinach, cabbage, broccoli and beetroot can really pack a punch.

Understanding how cholesterol is distributed through the body and the vital role it plays is the key to good fat management. It is the balance and particle size that is crucial rather than trying to totally eliminate cholesterol from the body. Cholesterol is the bases of how all new cells are made. It is, if consumed and balanced correctly, a useful and essential part of a healthy diet.

Good health is not the result of one sole action but a combination of striving to actively look, think and enhance opportunities for oneself. Sleep, exercise and food are the tools that are necessary for optimum health but understanding how to achieve and balance out these key areas on an individual basis can be the most beneficial health lesson of all.
