Hurricane Dream Guidance ~ Precognitive Dreams
Last Monday, September 10, 2018, we were informed that Hurricane Florence’s eye is in direct line of where I live – Jacksonville, North Carolina. My spirit guides kept telling me over and over, “Safe.” This is the dream I had Tuesday morning:
Mother Nature was calling; therefore, I followed another woman into the ladies woman. All the toilets looked like a strange urinal for men and the stalls didn’t have any doors, but the woman used it anyhow. I was debating to use it because it didn’t feel right; however, a man walked in and told me it was the men’s room.
In the next dream scene, I walked into a room that had some boxes packed, and two doors at the end where the toilets were. To my dismay, a woman was there with a bunch of children that weren’t that big and looked like those Russian dolls that are different sizes fitting inside each other.
I asked, “Do all your children have to go.” The mother responded, “No, just me.” Whew, I felt relieved to not have to deal with waiting for her to care for her children.
Next, I’m urinating in the left toilet, with the door open, and the buttons are undone on my shirt exposing my breast. Across from me, another woman is going while giving me a dirty look. This woman flushes her poop filled toilet and it starts to overflow. Luckily, there’s not too much water on the floor to clean.
Now granted this dream can have many different meanings besides a hurricane dream, for example, it could be:
• An environment because my body did need to urinate upon awakening, although I did let go in the dream, which normally doesn’t happen in that dream category. Thankfully, it only happened in my dream and not in my bed.
• Not to accept somebody else’s poop.
• To notice where I’m going.
• Since my breast was exposed, it could mean to be vulnerable with an open heart.
And there could be many more interpretation; however, let’s go with the precognitive dream for the upcoming hurricane. Here’s an interpretation:
This dream was showing me that I would be uncomfortable staying with other people or another place during the storm. Or it could be a premonition I would be stuck in a shelter having to be patient while dealing with other people.
The children could represent that it will be easy taking care of my fur children. Or that some material things aren’t that important to take care of since the children looked like Russian dolls.
My shirt being expose and urinating with the door open while being judged by the woman, means to be myself and do what feels right in my heart – no matter what other’s opinions are.
Lastly, perhaps one of our toilets will clog up, yet the other will be okay. Or we may receive a little flooding. Or to put up with the crap and we’ll be okay.
Should we stay or should we go?
Tuesday, September 11, 2018, the people living in our county and other counties along the coastal Carolina were given a mandatory evacuation notice. This means if you choose to stay behind no one will come to your rescue. Having only experienced two hurricanes, I became worried and knew I could regret whatever choice we decided on. So many opinions on what to do.
I couldn’t help but think of when I lived in New Jersey, a huge blizzard was predicted. My cat, Midnite (who passed a decade ago), was low on food; therefore, I went to the grocery store that took over two hours to purchase my items. After waiting for over six hours for the blizzard, I left the house to go to the laundromat. We never did get any snow that week.
Another thing that came to mind is years ago my sister and her husband stayed in Eastern Carolina, while thousands evacuated to Raleigh, North Carolina. At the last minute, the hurricane changed course and came barreling down in Raleigh! You never know!
I told my partner that I would ask for guidance in either a dream or message from my guides and we would do whatever they said, he agreed since he knows me so well. Here’s the dream:
Many people were telling me I had to go to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I felt this wasn’t right and I didn’t want to go there.
If anyone from Pittsburgh is reading this, my intention is not to insult you, nor do I desire for anything negative to happen to your city. Nevertheless, if we were going to evacuate up North it would either be to my old stomping grounds in Morris County, New Jersey or to my dear friends in Easton, Pennsylvania.
I told Chris about my dream and that we’re going to stay here with the majority of our other neighbors, before finding out that according to the weatherman the hurricane pattern has shifted further south and we’re not in such a direct hit at the moment. Florence is going to do what she desires to do and just like a woman, she may change her mind at the last minute.
In the meantime, we’re more prepared than the boy scouts of America to endure the weather or for a quick getaway. We will even fill the slow cooker with coffee, better room temperature coffee than no coffee!
We saving our hurricane treats to savor during the storm and aftermath. Although, tonight we will eat our barbecue chips left over from last weekend because that’s legal!
Please pray for us and all those weathering Florence and any other storms! Namaste…
Update
We’re safe and truly blessed!
Time always help with precognitive dream interpretation, learn more about this by reading As the Precognitive Dream Unravels. Here’s more information from the first dream.
• The boxes and Russian dolls represent how we packed an emergency bags with valuable papers (birth certificates, social security cards, passports, etc.) and necessities. We also put other material things we cared about in bags, while placing them in the washer/dryer in case of flooding. Just a side note – it was interesting to discover what material things were most important to me, plus how little I truly need.
• My exposed breasts truly was symbolic for being vulnerable during the hurricane and flooding/tornado warnings.
• This next part is a little gross; however, we used the hallway bathroom (on the left side from where I sleep) for number 1 and master bathroom (the right side) for number 2 with a plastic bag to collect it. We couldn’t flush because our septic tank was filled with saturated water from our back yard and the toilets would have overflow if we flushed.
• We did get a little water on our kitchen floor because two of our metal shingles fell off (insulated foam board underneath); see pictures below.
• My dream and guides saying we’re safe was spot on and prayers that Pittsburgh is okay.
Sunday morning, I had a dream that I was taking a hot shower and it felt so good on my back. I knew that was a precognitive dream of our power coming back on soon! Our power went on as soon as the utility crew cut one service line to a house that is down on the ground; see picture below. Aw, a hot shower never felt so good! I did feel guilty and continued my prayers for all NCers without power and in shelters.
The silver lining in my Hurricane Florence experiences is that my partner really trust my dreams and intuition now. Now, if I receive the information to evacuate for future hurricanes; he will agree to go…
Please pray for North Carolina! Check out our pictures below:

Carl Jung Dream Interpretation Quotes
Do you enjoy quotes? To me, quotes are little bits of wisdom that are meant to be shared, which is why I did a blog on 10 Dream Interpretation Quotes, another blog on Nightmare Quotes, and recently recorded a podcast on using Self-Love Quotes to Manifest Healthy Love.
Now, it’s time for dream interpretation quotes from the granddaddy of dream analysis – Carl Jung. To learn more about this famous dream interpreter, click on the Carl Jung Wikipedia page. Here are five quotes that are my favorite:
Nights through dreams tell the myths forgotten by the day. – Carl Jung
The person who looks outward dreams, the person who looks inward awakens. – Carl Jung
This whole creation is essentially subjective, and the dream is the theater where the dreamer is at once scene, actor, prompter, stage manager, author, audience, and critic. – Carl Jung
Dreams are symbolic in order that they cannot be understood; in order that the wish, which is the source of the dream, may remain unknown. – Carl Jung
The dream is the small hidden door in the deepest and most intimate sanctum of the soul, which opens to that primeval cosmic night that was soul long before there was conscious ego and will be soul far beyond what a conscious ego could ever reach. ~ Carl Jung

Interpreting the Many Layers of Cheating Dreams
Please choose to read the blog or listen to the podcast in iTunes, Google Play, Podbean, or the player down below the blog post.
Do you know that interpreting a dream can be compared to putting together a puzzle? Sometimes, you’re lucky enough, in the beginning to have some of the jigsaw puzzle put together, while other times you don’t even have the border of the puzzle done.
Let me give you a dream example of the many layers of Interpreting a dream – a woman emailed me that she had four dreams that her boyfriend cheated on her. Most people would think her dreams are a no-brainer to interpret and her boyfriend has obviously been with someone else. Yes, that could be one meaning; however, due to the limited amount of information she gave me, it can be compared to a puzzle without a border and only a few pieces put together.
You see, she left out if her four dreams happened in the same or similar way, if they did, this would be the dream category of recurring dreams. She also left out how she was feeling, most likely she would be upset or angry, but who knows maybe these dreams filled her with joy?
Perhaps her partner isn’t actually cheating on her, yet deceiving her in another manner, using the symbolism of being screwed over! Or she disapproves of the way he behaves in front of her, whether that’s grinding with another woman on the dance floor, flirting with other women at a party, or the way he interacts with people or his dog?
Events in her past may come into play with her dreams. Was she cheated on in the past from her ex-boyfriend or husband? Did her dad cheat on her mother? Has her current boyfriend cheated on her before? Her dream could be about her fear of him cheating on her. Or a memory dream of an ex-lover who now has the face of her current lover.
There’s a theory that everyone in your dream is really yourself. Which would mean the woman is having thoughts of cheating on her boyfriend, or has already cheated on him four times, or had an affair on 4th Avenue. Maybe, she is feeling cheated on the quality of this relationship and desiring another man?
She neglected to say if she knew the woman; therefore, was she in completion with her? Did this woman steal a former boyfriend? Or is she scared that her boyfriend is attracted to the woman in her dreams?
Were there any other symbols in the dream? And what words that were exchanged? All those things can completely change the dreams’ meaning and open it up to thousands of interpretations.
Let’s take a few dream categories, which you can read about in my book Learn the Secret Language of Dreams. I already mentioned how this could be a recurring dream that is showcasing problems in her love life.
• This also can be a solution dream to her question if her boyfriend is the one for her. If this was a solution dream then the answer would be “NO!”
• A precognitive dream is a premonition of upcoming events that this will happen. Another way to look at it is advance information to inspire her to put more effort in the relationship to avert this future event.
• Another dream category is health dreams showcasing her boyfriend had many lovers in the past and she needs to see a doctor.
Hopefully, now you understand that dream interpretation is complex and it’s rare to find your dream meaning in a dream dictionary. As you need to observe the many facets within the dream, while taking your feelings, past history, and current problems into consideration. Along with all the other symbols within the dreams.
When I analyze your dream I examine all the symbolism and layers within the dreams, at times my psychic abilities come into play. Then I give one or more interpretations. As much as I love interpreting dreams. My real love is teaching you how to do dream interpretation. I can interpret a dream for you or teach to interpret your dreams for a lifetime. Please check out my dream interpretation services to discover which one works best for you.

Cat Dream Meanings
Meow, did you have a dream about a cat or cats last night? For this blog post the cats I’m referring to are either domestic or feral cats. Big cats such as lion, tigers, or cougars can have different dream meanings. The following two paragraphs are taken from the chapter on “Dream Symbolism” in my book Learn the Secret Language of Dreams, which supports the theory that any dream symbol can have numerous meanings.
Let’s use the cat as an example of how one thing can have many different meanings. If you look up the meaning of cat in a symbol book or on the internet, you would find the following: intuition, mysterious, independent, luxury, and feminine. A kitty’s purr would be associated with healing or pleasure. The meaning of a black cat could be seen as bad luck. You can see how a feline can mean many different things.
In a cat lover’s dream the feline would bring a feeling of love and companionship. They could have a dream that predicts a new kitty will be their pet in the future. In Chapter Seven you will read about how my cat, Midnite, visited me after her death in my dream. A kitty that is hissing may be a nightmare for someone who is afraid of cats. Yet for someone else who is having issues with a girlfriend, the hissing cat could stand for the friend being catty.
Other addition meanings are:
• Kitten dream could be for your younger inner-self.
• Feral cats are symbolic for your wild side or being uneducated.
• A cat colony may be for numerous aspects of yourself.
It’s important to observe the feeling you have in your dreams, to learn more about how this helps interpret your dreams, please read Emotions in Dreams, Aids in Dream Interpretation. Let’s use the following dream example:
Out of nowhere, a feral cat jumped up into my lap, and rubbed his face against my face.
Here are four different emotions that alter the dream meanings:
1. For a woman who takes care of feral cats, she may feel happy that the feral cat is finally warming up to her.
2. This would be a nightmare for a person who is terrified of cats, as feral cats tend to be even more unpredictable.
3. If someone is baffled how to respond it would be symbolic for an area in their life that they need to learn more about.
4. A man who had this dream could feel remorseful about his wild behavior and now has to face up to the consequences.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, add in your past experiences, current issues, and other symbols within the dreams to add thousands upon thousands of possible interpretations. Perhaps, you’re wondering if dream interpretation is so complicated, why bother? My following quote explains why:
The journey of learning the secret language of dreams is fascinating and well worth the effort. ~ Pamela Cummins
Precognitive dreams may also occur with cat owners; I’ve had many, and here’s one of my dreams from the day before I picked up the white kitten, which I knew I was going to adopt:
My black cat, Midnite, (who had crossed over to the other side) jumped down from her pedestal. Then Merlin, the white kitten, jumped up onto the pedestal.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that dream. Although, the feelings in the dream were of great love, and Midnite’s approval of Merlin.
Since cats are so intuitive they can communicate with us during our dreams. Here’s a guest post I did for Happiness Between the Tails that’s a great example of how Merlin explained his health problem.
Hopefully, this blog with dream examples illustrates how cat symbols are easier to comprehend when you add in emotions, what has or is occurring in your life, and other symbols within the dreams.
If you need assistance with your dream meanings, please check out my dream interpretation services.
I wish you many purrfect dreams!

Camel Pose ~ In the Dreamtime: August 2018
Dream
In my dream I was bending backwards in a camel pose while my feet were pointed up and I was easily able to touch my ankles. I lifted back up, put my feet flat, and again went into a bending backwards position. To my astonishment, I touched my ankles!
Filled with excitement I approached a twenty-six year old yoga teacher and blurted out, “I touched my ankle in camel pose.” She shrugged her shoulders in a “so what” manner. My response was, “Yes, but you’re young, I’m fifty-six years old. What an accomplishment!”

Dream Interpretation Interview with Dr. Steven Fox
I’m overjoyed to have Dr. Steven Fox, author of Dreams: Guide To The Soul, 40 Ancient Secret Keys to Healing, Renewal, and Power on my blog today. Let’s start the interview.
Pamela: Thank you so much for being a guest on my blog, Dr. Fox. Could you please tell us when and why you began interpreting dreams?
Dr. Fox: I have always been interested in dreams, but what brought it deeply into my life was being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in January of 1991. I subsequently went to psychotherapy with a Jungian trained psychotherapist who was an expert in dream interpretation. I learned much about using dream interpretation to make practical decisions. I have been in private practice since 1988. After reading many books about dream interpretation, and experiencing it in psychotherapy, I found that using dream interpretation was very useful in my doing psychotherapy with clients.
Pamela: What inspired you to write the book Dreams: Guide To The Soul?
Dr. Fox: As I read the dream books and tried different interpretations with clients, I learned which principles of dream interpretation worked. My clients helped write the book in many ways. The book was field-tested on my clients. I derived forty principles of dream interpretation from their feedback. I only included principles that worked ninety percent of the time. Dreams: Guide to the Soul is a summary of my life’s work.
Pamela: For someone just beginning the journey of dream interpretation, what advice would you give them?
Dr. Fox: The best learning comes from having your dreams interpreted by someone who has devoted considerable time and experience in dream interpretation. Reading books written by Jungian analysts are enlightening. I view Carl Jung as a master of dream interpretation as that was what his work revolved around. Robert Johnson, Marion Woodman, and Clarissa Von Estes are a few of the prominent Jungian analysts. Learning the typical patterns or archetypes in dreams is extremely helpful.
Pamela: Could you tell the readers one ancient key to help them interpret their dreams?
Dr. Fox: The most important one for me has been the idea that each living thing in a dream is a part of the dreamer’s mind at the first level of dream interpretation. Men tend to go with an action part of the dreamer’s personality, while women usually go with a more emotional aspect of the dreamer’s psyche. This is not always absolutely true, but it tends to pan out that way. It is equalitarian as it tends to be this way regardless of the dreamer’s sexual orientation.
Pamela: Where can people find your book?
Dr. Fox: It is on Amazon at http://www.drstevenfox.com
