Dream Interpretation for Nonsense Dreams

Recently, I did a Facebook Live on the topic of dreams. A woman asked me, “How do you know if it’s a nonsense dream or a real dream.” At first, I was taken aback by the question, yet quickly realized that I have a lot more experience in interpreting dreams than she did. Would you like to know the answer?

You have a choice whether to continue reading or listen to the four minute podcast on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, or the player down below.

Here was my answer, “There is no such things as nonsense dreams as all dreams have meanings. You just have to learn how to understand their messages.” Granted, this is not an overnight process.

So, if you have a dream that you’re dressed in a cheerleaders outfit doing Kung Fu while taking a shower. It has meaning!

I highly doubt you will find your interpretation that dream in a dream app or dictionary.

Okay, are you wondering how could that dream have any possible meaning? Here’s one interpretation:

You need to learn how to cleanse yourself of always being a cheerleader to everyone and learn how to protect yourself against inappropriate people. Like I said all dreams have meanings.

Now, I understand how this can be frustrating to some of you. And perhaps you’re wondering why dreams aren’t shown more simple like the way things are in your waking life. This quote from my book, Learn the Secret Language of Dreams sums it up nicely:

There is no denial in the dreamtime, only subconscious and spiritual truths.

In other words, every human being has a blanket of denial to protect us from a painful reality. Or we keep ourselves too busy to avoid looking within. Our dreams of the nighttime uses code to help us process our daytime reality and are from a Higher Source that uses spiritual language. Your job is to figure out that language.

Want to learn more about dream interpretation? Join me March 13, 2019 7 pm Eastern for the topic of “Interpret Your Dreams, Improve Your Life.” This free Masterclass will take place on my Facebook business page – Pamela Cummins Author. Of course, it will be recorded for your convenience.

What Is the Dream Meaning of Cars?

Cars are everywhere and an important part of our lives; therefore, it’s not surprising we dream of them. Yet, what does it mean when we dream of cars? The three main symbols of cars are as follows:

Representation of our bodies.
Symbolism of travel.
Metaphor of if you’re in control of life (driving car) or others controlling your journey (in the passenger seat).

If only those two meanings or searching for a symbol in a dream app/dictionary would supply the true message of your dream. Dream interpretation is much more complicated than symbols, as you need to add in: past experiences, repressed memories, unresolved issues, current problems, relationships with others, feelings in the dream, other symbols, and your unique hidden messages.

In this post, I will use three dream categories to help get the above point across. To discover more about each category, please click on the links.

Environment Dreams

A day spent at the race track could trigger a dream.
TV show or movies about car racing may promote a dream.
Engine starting up outside your bedroom can accelerate a dream.

Nightmares

Your boss driving a car like a maniac would represent how out of control you feel at work.
You losing control of the wheel and getting into an accident could be symbolic that you need to slow down.
Your dream is showing you memories of a past car accident where a loved one died, which there are issues you still need to resolve.

Precognitive Dreams

You’re dreaming of checking the air pressure in your tires are reminding you to put air in your tires or to take your car in for maintenance.
You dream of a car accident on the highway you usually drive to work, the next day you decide to take a different route, and later on discovering there was a fatal car wreck that back up traffic for miles.
I had a dream (a few decades ago) that I rear ended a cop car with my car and felt devastated and terrified of what would happen.

Are those dream examples true for everyone? Of course not, as everyone is unique and so are our dreams. Take for example the precognitive dream I had of slamming my car into a police car. Thank God that didn’t happen! Instead, someone else rear ended me. Even though there wasn’t damage to my car, I stood up to the policeman by insisting I needed an accident report that he didn’t want to write. Which turned out to be a blessing, since the accident caused whiplash on the right side of my neck and shoulder, and I had to submit proof to the insurance company.

What’s Pamela Dreaming?

My recent car dream inspired me to write this blog and here it is:

I said my goodbyes, left a former spiritual meeting I used to attend, walked through the parking lot, and got into my car. In my current car, I backed up the vehicle to get out the parking spot, and put the car in drive. A little further down the road, my car did a donut, then I was driving backwards through the woods, and to my frustration no matter what I did the car continued to stay backwards.

At one point in the dream as I was looking out the back window, I couldn’t see, so I glanced at the rearview mirror, and still couldn’t see through the forest. Terrified, there was nothing left to do, but to turn it over to my Higher Source, and trust. This brought a sense of peace. Out of nowhere, the car straighten up by its self as the engine shut off, and ended up at the edge of the woods and paved road. I attempted to start up the car a few times to no avail. Thought to myself that I to reach out for help and wonder if I had enough money to cover the expenses of the car repair.

Interpretation

This dream is a wonderful example of how the past, present problems, emotions, other symbols, and hidden messages work. Could it be a premonition of future care problems? Perhaps, but so far my car is fine; knock on wood. Observing the dream it could also represent my spirituality and life in general; however, intuitively I know it’s more specific.

Here’s my interpretation:

For years, I specialized in love and relationships by doing psychic readings, while dream interpretation was occasional side work. This was the right path for me for quite some time, yet for the past few years I felt stuck, and decided to focus on dream interpretation. Hence, the symbolic meaning of leaving the spiritual meeting and my car doing a donut.

As I continue this new path through uncharted territory (meaning of the woods/forest) I felt frustrated at times because I wasn’t sure where I was headings, and had to trust my Higher Source, which always is a source of strength. Driving backwards without knowing where I was headed is a representation of continuing blogging on dream and doing my psychic readings, while creating a podcast and website for spiritual and personal growth.

November of last year, I made the final decision to focus completely on dream interpretation and personal/spiritual growth (as they go hand and hand). I let go of the love and relationship website, although the topic will still be included in interpreting dreams, self-growth, and spirituality, as it’s a part of life. This represents the part of the dream where the car straighten out and is at the edge of the paved road.

As I embark on this new journey it is important to reach out to others to network and for help because no one can move forward on their own. And of course, being self-employed, I have to spend money and time for assistance to continue down my path…

Dreams About Cheating Are They Real?

Dreaming about being cheated on or cheating on your lover can be very upsetting. However, dreams are not usually based in fact, thank goodness. Rather cheating dreams may be triggered by: yours or someone else’s life experience, fears, plus other emotions, a movie you watched, and much more.

This new, six minute podcast is based on a popular blog I wrote in 2017, which you can listen to on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, or the player down below.

If You Die In Your Dream, Will You Die?

Have you ever heard that if you have a dream about falling while dreaming and hit the ground – you will die? What happens if someone kills you in your dream, are you truly dead? Has this been scientifically proven?

You have a choice to continue reading or listen to the podcast on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, or the player below.

Obviously, this hasn’t been proven by science, if it was, scientists would have proof of life after death. Who knows where this train of thought originally came from; perhaps from the same train of thought that black cats are evil? Which by the way, my black cat, Rhiannon, is so sweet and rarely causes trouble, unlike my white cat, Merlin. Maybe this idea originated with a medium; however, I never heard of this from my medium friends, nor have I come across the concept while doing my own readings.

So what does it mean when you die in a dream? It’s the same meaning of the Death card in tarot; this card and dying in your dreams is really about endings. That’s right, endings of a chapter in your life to help you transform and grow to a higher level.

Could a death dream have another meaning? Of course, as there’s always a possibility of more meanings for your dreams depending on your emotions, other symbols in the dream, issues in your life, and past life experience. Here are seven explanations of what your dream means:

1. An actual precognitive dream that yours or someone else’s actual death that will occur in the future.

2. To warn you of present or upcoming health issues.

3. Your fear of death is coming into your dream to help resolve it.

4. Past life memories of your death in a prior life.

5. A recent death of a loved one or acquaintance triggers the dream.

6. You have been reading or watching too much television on the topic of death and murders.

7. An unresolved issue or event that you wish would just die.

By the way, I’m living proof that you don’t die in a dream because at different times in my life I’ve had two dreams of being shot in the head! Both dreams were about the upcoming transformation in my life, and my first one I had sometime in the early 90’s before I became self-employed showcases this point. Here’s my dream:

To deal with the overpopulation of the planet, society made a law that when your social security number was called they would shoot you. I heard my social security number being called. Some men with government uniforms and guns came over to me. I told them, “I don’t want to die.” Their response was, “You have no choice, turn around so I can shoot you.” Which I responded, “I’m not turning around, if you going to shoot me, you’re gonna have to shoot me while I’m looking at you.” They shoot me in the head and to my astonishment I didn’t die!

Would you like to know the interpretation of that dream? This dream symbolized how I needed to proceed to the next phase of my life by being self-employed in a field that wasn’t accepted by mainstream society. Some people in society would think my work was wrong or harmful, yet I needed to do it. By keeping to my morals and boundaries this would transform me. Ta dah! By listening to my dream and intuition, I went through a transformation.

How about you? Did you ever died in your dream?

Precognitive Dream Quotes

Quotes are wisdom stuffed into one or a few sentences that many people love, as do I. So far I’ve done blogs about dream interpretation quotes, nightmare quotes, and Carl Jung quotes, which you can find under the quote category for this blog. However, quotes about precognitive dreams (dreams about the future) seem to be sparse on the internet. I found four quotes that showcased premonition dreams in a positive manner and the last two are from my book, Learn the Secret Language of Dreams. Here are the six quotes:

Dreams are road signs along the nighttime highway of sleep. – Terri Guillemets

No, there was nothing unusual in any of these dreams as dreams. They were merely displaced in Time – J.W. Dunne

Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil. – James Lane Allen

Dreams are today’s answers to tomorrow’s questions. – Edgar Cayce

Precognitive dreams are premonitions of upcoming events about to happen in your waking life on Earth. – Pamela Cummins

Precognitive dreams tend to be more vivid, are usually easier to remember than other dreams, and convey an inner knowing that this will occur in the future. – Pamela Cummins

If you know of any other precognitive dream quote besides these six, please feel free to share it in the comment section. Need help remembering your dreams? Visit How to Remember Your Dreams for your free gift.

Brief History of Dream Interpretation

Dreams have always fascinated humans throughout time. Many civilizations believed dreams were messages from God, Goddess, or their ancestors.

* You have a choice to continue reading the blog or listening to the podcast on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, or the player below. *

Native Americans took their dreams seriously, often going to the medicine man or woman of the tribe looking for interpretation to help them follow the wisdom of the messages of the nighttime.

Besides messages from their Higher Source, people of ancient Egypt felt their souls went on journeys to other realms besides Earth during the dreamtime. Which makes sense to me, how about you?

Even today there are Africans who believe that our dream life are as valuable as our waking life. Once I totally freaked out a woman at a party when I said, “Who knows, maybe we’re dreaming now and our dreams are our real life?” Which by the way turns out to be an important question from ancient China.

The Celtics, Greeks, and Romans were also fascinated by their dreams. Sadly, in the Dark Ages there were some people who viewed dreams as evil because the devil was sending the dreamer messages.

In the Bible, you will find references to dreams and their meanings. One I find practically fascinating is the story of Joseph, whose brothers sold him into slavery. Because of his skill with dream interpretation, he interpreted the Pharaoh’s dream. That saved Egypt from starvation; hence, Joseph went from being a slave to the Pharaoh’s trusted adviser.

There are two important modern dream interpreters that aided the field of dream interpretation; in a nutshell, they were:

The first is Sigmund Freud, who believed that dreams revealed our unconscious as a way to glimpse into our soul and true desires. Freud felt many of those unfulfilled desires were sexual; however, I tend to wonder if those were his own issues with sexuality that were projected onto his patients?

Carl Jung is the second dream interpreter who made his marked in dream interpretation history. Jung was a student of Freud who disagreed with some of his teacher’s theories, thus went in a different direction. His most important theory was that you are every character in your dreams; for example, if you dream about your mother, it really represents your mother within.

Freud and Jung helped bring dream interpretation into psychology and science, thus enriching all of society.

Today the study of dream analysis continues in not only science and therapy, but in religions, metaphysics, and individuals. My own personal knowing about our dreams of the nighttime is it helps us discover who we are, giving insights and solutions to our past, present, and future issues, plus connecting us to our ancestors, guides, and Higher Source.
