Review for the Journaling Power Book

What an honor for me to do a review for the Journaling Power book by Mari L. McCarthy of CreateWriteNow.com. I meet Mari through a nonfiction authors’ group on Facebook and it was an instant connection. In fact, in 2020 I wrote the guest post “Journaling Dreams for Personal Growth” for her website. When I was asked to participate in the Wow! Women on Writing Tours for Mari’s book, I instantly knew it was the right fit.

My Review for the Journaling Power Book

This journaling book was a fascinating and fun read for me. Mari shared her own life story of how writing in her journal relieved and reduced her pain of multiple sclerosis. In this book, you will discover how her personal history, unresolved issues/emotions, and workaholism caused havoc on her life and health. However, the author is talented enough to share her story without overwhelming the reader with too much information.

Next, Mara informs the reader of her amazing life changes upon her personal journaling journey… To avoid limiting the reader with just her story and/or for those who think journaling could be nonsense, she devotes a chapter to scientific studies on journaling.

In each chapter, there are journaling prompts for that chapter’s topic. I was impressed with the author’s guidelines and exercises on how to journal for beginner and experienced journalers.

How the Journaling Power Book Inspired Me

Now, I’ve been journaling on and off for decades. Here’s nine different types of journals I kept:

Diary when I was a child.Dream journal from 1990 to 2000.Daily gratitude lists.To write about and heal my issues.Letters to release emotions.Money and business stories.Goals for life and business.Life lessons I learned.Hair products – being a curly girl is one heck of a journey.

As you can see, I’m no newbie to keeping a journal. Although it’s been a while that I’ve been constant at it, reading in order to write a review for the Journaling Power book reminded me of how important it is to journal. Not only that, it inspired me to be consistent about journaling to the point that I feel off balanced if I skip a few days.

Journaling was a lifesaver to me for writing down my precognitive dreams about my cat, Merlin’s death and writing letters to him after he crossed. This helped release my grief and all the other feelings that are associated with the loss of a loved one.

Whether you are new or experienced to journaling, I highly recommend this book. Just the journaling prompts are worth the money. Mara’s life changing story will give you hope for the future! Precognitive Dreams for an Upcoming Death

Losing a loved one is very painful, which is why precognitive dreams for an upcoming death can help prepare you. In this post, you will learn how to tell if your death dream is truly predicting a death. Then I will use examples of my personal dreams to demonstrate how they warned me of my cat Merlin’s death.

But first I would like to point out that is common for people to have dreams of their deceased loved ones after they pass. This is why my blog posts in the category dreams of the deceased receive a ton of visits every day. I recently read that precognitive dreams for an upcoming death rarely happen. Which makes me shake my head as I had predicted death dreams for my mother and two cats, Midnite and Merlin. If I can have these dreams, I know others have them, too.

Precognitive Dreams for an Upcoming Death

Now, before you freak out that you or someone is going to die, please note that dreaming of death can signal:

Transformation in your life.Lessons that you have learned; in other words, that chapter has ended.Prior past life memories.

Signs of Precognitive Dreams for an Upcoming Death

Here are five characteristics that your dream is a prediction for a loved one to pass:

This dream is more vivid than your other dreams.A feeling and/or knowing that this event will come to light.You have the ability to recall this dream when you usually don’t remember your dreams.It breaks through your denial of signs that you have been ignoring.As time passes more evidence appears, whether that is your loved one having health issues or behaving recklessly.The Gift of Knowing

Realizing a loved one is going to cross is very upsetting. However, these are the benefits:

Spending quality time with your loved one.Making amends and repairing issues in the relationship.Hugging and kissing them.Reminiscing about the good times.Preparing things for the inevitable.Letting them know how much you love them.

There may be other gifts that I haven’t written. Doing the above reduces the regrets of what you should’ve and could’ve done.

Pamela’s Precognitive Dreams for an Upcoming DeathHolding my baby, boy Merlin

Loss of a pet can be just as hard as or even harder than losing a human loved one. Our pets are with us constantly in ways that people can’t be. Perhaps the shower is the only time I have complete privacy; nonetheless, my cats sometimes wait for me to come out. When Merlin was a kitten, he used to play/attack me while I was in the shower. What’s Pamela Dreaming?

My seven dreams assisted me before Merlin’s crossing and I will share three of them. Perhaps my dreams will help you in some manner?

First Dream

Merlin jumps up on the bed purring and rubbing his head against me. The love between us was incredible. And I knew that it was important to spend more time with him, while knowing those are his wishes, also.

Interpretation

Sadly, my heart ached as I knew this was a probably a precognitive dream for Merlin’s upcoming death. Because a psychic asked me what was going on with Merlin. After this dream my soul mate, Chris, said he was worried because Merlin was losing weight in his hip and back legs. Chris advised me to make a vet appointment.

Second Dream

This dream occurred before the vet appointment as follows:

On my front lawn, Merlin is lying down in the grass with a huge snake around his body and a big leopard sitting next to him. The snake is squeezing him and starts going around his neck. Merlin is calm and peaceful. While I’m freaking out. I’m also terrified as I want to pull the snake off of him, but afraid it will attack and hurt me.

Interpretation

Upon awakening, I immediately knew this was symbolic for Merlin preparing his transformation into the other side and the leopard was his spirit guide. My baby boy felt peaceful about his upcoming transition as he knows that this is a normal part of life. Meanwhile, I’m not okay with his dying. I desired to protect him, plus terrified of going through the pain of his death and life without him.

When I used to do psychic readings, there was always a theme that cats were purrfectly at ease with the prospect of death; however, their owners were not. Some of these humans put their cats through painful medical procedures, which the cats didn’t want.

Third Dream

I’m flipping through a photo album after Merlin has passed (he was still alive when dreaming this), when I come across a picture of me sitting on the bed next to Chris with Merlin laying by my legs at my old bedroom when I lived in Morehead City, North Carolina. My hair color is like it is today, transitioning to its natural hair color, yet I dyed my hair when lived in Morehead City.

Then the photo turns into a video that Chris is filming. Rhiannon (my girl cat who is still alive) jumps on the bed and I start singing. I get out of bed still singing and the video goes for a close up. My hair is shoulder length, and the color is salt and pepper. Then it closes in on my face and neck area that have a ton of wrinkles (much more than I have now). I think to myself, boy, did I get wrinkly as I watch the video. But the feeling of happiness is enormous in the video.

Interpretation

This last dream is showing me that life is about transition from past, present, and future. To enjoy these moments, spend time and express myself with those I love, plus to enjoy the lessons/wisdom from life. My life is worth living at any age, while it’s filled with happiness and memories.

Believe me, I made sure to treasure every moment with Merlin before he passed.

May the lessons from my third dream impact you and inspire you to live your life in the fullest. Please spend time with and enjoy your loved one, regardless of whether or not you had a precognitive dreams for an upcoming death. When they depart, may you know the tremendous sorrow you feel is worth the tremendous love you had with them.

Fart Dream Symbols and Meanings

The idea of doing a blog on fart dream symbols and meanings was inspired by a dream I recently had. Which I will reveal and interpret later in this post. Passing gas in a dream can have many messages depending on the dreamer’s feelings, actions, and who is in the dream. Each dreamer has their own unique history and lessons that cause numerous possible meanings for their dream analysis.

General Fart Dream Symbols and Meanings

These following nine possible fart dream meanings are for you to mull over:

Ripping fun times.Finally letting go of what is no longer needed.There’s something in your life that stinks and isn’t working.You’re showing the world who you truly are.Despite the opinions of others, you have self-confidence.Health issues with your digestive system.Your bodily functions embarrass you.The body is being healed by releasing what it no longer needed.Not allowing yourself to pass gas in a dream is symbolic of holding on to something that is NOT for your highest good.

The above examples aren’t written in stone and hopefully my personal dream and possible interpretations will help you with interpreting your own fart dream.

Here’s the dream I had, which prompted me to write a blog on fart dream symbols and meanings.

Pamela’s Dream

I was lying on my side in bed and my life mate was talking about how one of his younger coworkers was insecure about how he looks. Then he went on to show the moves this young man uses when they were playing basketball. The first move seemed close to a yoga move that he demonstrates while letting out a long, loud fart. Then he went into a second yoga like position as he let out another long, loud fart. I started giggling and then said, “You mean like this,” and I released a short, loud fart.

Sadly, I awaken to a Charley Horse in my right calf. Although my humorous dream made it less painful.

Interpretation of Fart Dream

Most dreams have more than one message and this dream is no exception. Here are three possible meanings:

Environment Dream

In my sleeping environment I might have been passing gas in my sleep? Since my cat, Rhiannon, hogs up the bed and often sleeps by my legs; I may have felt a desire to stretch my legs. These situations could have prompted my dream of farting and why my mate was doing movements similar to yoga poses, which was warning me of an upcoming Charley Horse.

Relationship Dreams

This dream was showcasing the quality of my love relationship. We can be ourselves while airing our shortcomings. Plus how we play and have a fun.

Solution Dreams

Another representation of the dream may be my own insecurities of being judged for becoming older, especially since I’m allowing my natural hair color to grow out. Hence the advice to go against the mainstream viewpoint on aging. It’s important for me to be myself, let go, and stretch beyond of what others think of me, and continue doing yoga.

Final Thoughts

Request a Visitation Dream from the Deceased

A question I often hear is how to request a visitation dream from my departed mother, father, husband… Some clients wonder why other family members and/or close friends have received a visit, but they haven’t. Usually the reason is a person’s grief is so raw from a recent death or they never processed their pain from their loved one’s passing; therefore, they either block or can’t remember a visitation dream. If that is the case, allow yourself to grieve by:

Letting the tears flow…Writing a letter to your loved one.Talking to her/him when you’re alone, at their grave site, or by their urn.Joining a support group.Having a one-on-one session with a coach or therapist.

How to Request a Visitation Dream

This may sound so simple; however, all you need to do is ask. How? By implementing one or more of the following seven techniques:

Pray to God, Goddess, or whatever you choose to call your Higher Source.Request a visitation out loud or silently.Write a letter or type it on a device.Chant it as a mantra; for example, (name) please visit me in my dream, (name) please visit me in my dream…Meditate by visualizing and/or feeling the invitation. Do you need help with this meditation process? Be Patient and Allow

When you request a visitation dream it may not happen that night. It’s important to trust the timing, while gently asking a few more times. You could be ready, yet your deceased loved one could be busy doing heavenly business. Or if their death was traumatic, they may need to heal before visiting you.

Sometimes a departed loved one chooses to visit during the daytime by: touching your face, smelling a scent you associate with them, hearing their favorite song, items being moved, electric devices behaving unusual, or you could actually see them. A personal example of mine is my deceased parakeet, Birdy Bird, would energetically stop by so I could feel his presence during corpse pose (a form of meditation) on my yoga mat.

One Dream Has Many Meanings

Some people don’t realize how one dream has many meanings, instead they think there’s only one dream message. Another thing society does is try to look at a dream with a daytime view, giggle. If only interpreting dreams were that simple.

Recently, I was pondering the method to prepare an instruction segment on how to go deeper within a dream and look at it from the different angles. My mind was having a hard time on figuring out a teaching concept for my group Dream Interpretation for Spiritual; therefore, I decided to put it on hold until the next day.

One Dream Has Many Meanings

It turns out that I didn’t have to plan anything as that night I had a dream, which was the perfect example to use for the lesson.

My Dream

My sister, niece, and I were talking in a living room. Cynthia (who’s an adult now) was a young teenager and Snowy, their dog who passed, was there. There was a black leopard sleeping in the corner and I felt perfectly safe there. I can’t remember much of the conversation except as I was leaving, I made the comment about the black leopard. My sister responded that she didn’t notice it.

I left carrying Snowy, who was on a leash, close to my chest and was walking down a hill. I saw two lion cubs ahead of me and got nervous because I knew the mamma had to be somewhere. Then I heard a lion’s roar and thought it was the mother, but when I turned around it was the male lion. I was too terrified to move as the lion ran towards me and clamped his teeth on my right hand & wrist. I knew the lion could cause seriously damaged or kill me. So I gave him Snowy to eat, knowing that my niece was going to be furious.

Analysis of One Dream Has Many Meanings

In this section I will give a simple and deeper analysis as how it pertains to my family.

Simple Analysis

There’s something that I have been avoiding talking about or wanting to do with my sister and niece. I begin walking that path, but afraid of what lies ahead hence the two cubs. And how people are going to react. The male lion represents the fact that I need to grab whatever it is by the hand with strength, while sacrificing what my family and others think of me.

Deeper Family Analysis

Cynthia is representing me as a teenager hanging out with my sister. The black leopard is the elephant in the living room aka Denial! My sister is symbolic of my own denial even if bits were peeking out.

Snowy symbolizes the family love and loyalty that I carry within my heart, yet the leash is symbolic of restrictions on my freedom.

The two cubs might be symbolic for my sister and me. My mother wasn’t around much because of health issues. Perhaps the male lion is about my father’s belief system that was based on his ancestors/society’s rules and traditions. If I stand still and allow him to keep a grasp on me, it will limit my creativity and ability to form the life I want to create. So I have to sacrifice something I love or a part of me in order to move on.

Different Angles of One Dream Has Many Meanings

Now, let’s go even deeper of looking within me, rather than focusing on my family.

One Angle

This could be my intuitive and creative female side that wasn’t allowed in my family growing up nor accepted in society. Even when it’s sleeping in the living room! It could also be showing a new journey within my work.

Walking down the hill is me going forward, and it’s an easier path. The cubs could be a symbol for two different aspects of my business that will grow… The male lion may be symbolic of not allowing mainstream beliefs to interfere. Or I need strength to grasp the situation and use male logical and builder instincts, while feeding it with unconditional love and female power.

Another Angle of What’s Going on Now

The black leopard could be symbolic of my black cat, Rhiannon, and/or denial of change within my current household. This enables me to begin to view it.

Walking and holding Snowy could be symbolic for Merlin who is also all white. I do walk Merlin on a leash, his name was Snowball before I adopted him, plus I love him with all my heart. The two cubs could be showcasing my two cats or two kittens in the future. Since Merlin has been losing weight and I’m taking him to the vet on Monday. This might mean that I’m going to have the strength to face up to the fact what a sacrifice it will be for me when he goes to the Great Big Cat on the other side – no matter how much it will upset me and my inner child when he dies.

Update – I took Merlin to the vet and his blood counts were low. Merlin is on medicine/vitamins and seems better. Although, the vet agrees with me to keep his care simple. The Bruiser is such a terror at the vet office, it took two techs to hold him down when she took a blood sample. Plus I’m not comfortable using anesthesia on him for a bone marrow or other tests since he’s eleven years old and there’s a chance it could kill him. Instead, I prefer Merlin to be happy for however long he shall live.

Final Thoughts

When I did my teaching segment within the group, the interpretations my students had were different than the four above, although they did hit on bits of them before I revealed my analysis. More proof on how one dream has many meanings.
