Robert Aickman’s fiction endlessly bucks convention and somehow terrifies and entertains in equal measure. The House of the Russians and The Stains stood out to me in this collection. These Faber books are quite excellent.

After picking up the 4K box set, I’ve decided to reread the famous Fantasy trilogy for prep. Even after all these years, Tolkien’s characters and setting inspire and terrify. This book is sheer dread and pure wonder. Beautiful.

Stephen Graham Jones has conjured a gonzo horror novel the likes of which we haven’t seen in years... it’s somehow brutal, thrilling, and heart-wrenching in equal measure. A true page turner.
