Teresa LaBella has been fascinated with fiction since she learned to read. Her need to write developed past the stage of idea to 'I did' in the contemporary romance novel "Reservations" and 'I did it - again!' in "Heartland," the second novel in the romance trilogy. In the final novel of the trilogy, the story moves from the Midwest to Scotland where a young woman's personal quest to find herself blazes a trail through uncertainty to a place of "Belonging." Comments from readers led to a series spin-off novella, "Love Unlikely" and short stories on the lives of Harmony neighbors in "Tales from Heartland."

The author made the genre switch to romantic suspense with the release of "The UnMatchables Case #1: Danger Noted" in November 2020. Gossi

The first book in the series "Reservations" really is the light read, happily-ever-after romance. The second novel "Heartland" veered away from that story line and "Belonging" bent the rules even further. One of my editors and an author friend who writes erotica described the series as a family saga much more rooted in reality than the typical romance trilogy. So your choice of which book you would like to read and review and how you would like to receive it. E-mail?

Summer Refresh

The season is changing and so has the cover of "Heartland", the second novel in my New Life in Love romance series.

I bent the rules of the genre with this book. Where "Reservations", the first story in the Heartland by Teresa LaBella trilogy, followed the happily-ever-after the conflict expectation, the plot in the second tale in the McKenna family saga takes a more somber twist.

"Good storyline

I liked the author's writing style and enjoyed this story of intrigue and suspense. There was good character development, although some of the characters could have been mentioned by name only, as they only made a cameo appearance.

So my reliable source was informed. I think she's read everything J.D. Robb and Nora Roberts. I'll start at the beginning. Thanks!
