I started writing fanfiction as mrstrentreznor.
I thought it was a wonderful concept to take existing characters and flesh them out a little more. Or to write the scenes that didn’t get filmed or written in the original work. I have given away more than a million words on fanfic; but I discovered that I had a million more in my head. And they were my words, my characters and my stories.
I am Australian so that explains the weird spelling - note: I would say correct spelling.
I feel I should be witty and informative about how many children and household pets I have, but really the chickens lay eggs and I am yet to see what use the teenagers are. I am not sure why the recent trend in writer biographies extends to pets.

This man is a serial pest and online troll.
He has spent years leaving abusive horrible messages to me on every single platform that I am on. My spam folder is full of messages from him (sent to all the various people he harasses - I'm not special) that barely make any sense.
Honestly, just google him.
I had him blocked on GR but he just rejoined in 2018 and can send me more messages. I thought about blocking him again, but people need to know about this before they decide to engage with him.
And my dreadful crime? That has earned all this?

One of his books was featured on a website called Lousy Book Covers. According to the guy who ran the website, his wife received threatening phone calls from Pacione at his home.

And I left a comment to say that I would add him to my ‘never buy’ list. That was it.
It was 2015.
THREE years ago.
Spoiler: he’s STILL on my ‘never buy’ list.
And for the record, I don’t pull-to-publish my fanfiction OR write or read mpreg, but I respect the right of anyone who wants to do so.
You do not get to tell me what I can do.

This week I hit that problem that only happens to creatives; someone made my thing.

You know that idea you had for a novel? Someone wrote it. And it happened twice.

It had not been a good week, anyway. Waves hand at... you know... everything.

But yes, I read two books that matched pretty closely ideas I had ages ago for two different novels. I started writing them and stopped at a good way in and

This is one of those books where people will either love it or hate it. [it amuses me to think his book reviews approach the barbell strategy he speaks of] but it seems he DID predict the financial crisis of 2008, and for that, alone, perhaps we shou ...more

Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
“The best way to verify that you are alive is by checking if you like variations. Remember that food would not have a taste if it weren’t for hunger; results are meaningless without effort, joy without sadness, convictions without uncertainty, and an ethical life isn’t so when stripped of personal risks.”

Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
“If there is something in nature you don't understand, odds are it makes sense in a deeper way that is beyond your understanding. So there is a logic to natural things that is much superior to our own. Just as there is a dichotomy in law: 'innocent until proven guilty' as opposed to 'guilty until proven innocent', let me express my rule as follows: what Mother Nature does is rigorous until proven otherwise; what humans and science do is flawed until proven otherwise.”
