And then when you have an idea, sit down and write. Don't worry about if it's perfect or if it makes sense or if there are typos—you can worry about that later. When you're drafting, just write. Because you'll have to revise anyway. (less)

There are tons of things that I find inspiring and that can serve as inspiration for a story idea, character, or chunk of dialog, which can spark an entire book. But when it comes to the nitty-gritty of sitting down and writing—which can be daunting, frustrating, soul-sucking, and tedious—you just have to make yourself do it. Any way you have to. (less)
