I have one dog and three cats that enjoy the wilds of the high country with me, and also, a husband…somewhere…snow skiing I believe.

I grew up on a registered Angus ranch in Cleburne, Texas, riding my horse Trixie, and living in a haunted house, my second haunted house to inhabit in fact. It was these hauntings that nurtured my passion for monsters, aliens, ghosts, the supernatural, and all things that go-bump-in-the-night-for-no-reason.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education with concentrations in Journalism and English from the University of Texas in

Don't listen to your family or friends who tell you to go get a real job first. Don't depend on others for their approval, support, or encouragement because—truthfully—you probably won't get it. It all falls on you. So Cowboy up. No one can follow your dreams but you. No one can get it done but you. And truthfully, no one cares but you. (less)

Holly and Hodges from Stephen King's "Mr. Mercedes" trilogy. They are not necessarily romantically inclined, but they make a nice duo.

As far as romance? Bella and Jacob from "Twilight. " I know, so over it. But they always come to mind when I think of romantic entanglements.

I'll keep thinking and reading though. And will keep you posted. Thank you for the question. (less)

Interesting But Odd

I enjoyed the writing style of the author. And the story kept my interest in that where-is-this-going way. I had difficulty visualizing the characters, which may have been the writer’s intent. The mother had polyps all over her bod

Seriously! I couldn’t put it down.

Action-packed from the very beginning to the very end. It has a Call of the Wild vibe mixed with superhero tenacity. The main character, Sena, is someone with whom young adults can relate. Excellent read.

Couldn’t Put It Down!

Excellent read. A gripping tale that keeps you guessing at each turn of the page. Sain pulls you from your life and drops you right in the middle of a bayou. The details she offers, in the best of ways, made me feel as if I’d liv

The story is compelling. A good read. I did want to find out what happens to the main character, but I didn’t connect with her. Some of the things she did were not believable for the way her character was presented and for a teenaged

“—And I won't deny your neighbors will take you more seriously if you tell them you've written a novel. (Of course if that's the main concern, just go and tell them. You don't have to write anything. Just lie a little. Don't worry—they won't beg to read the manuscript.)”
