Ann was born and raised in Michigan on the Northeast side of, what was then a suburb of Detroit where she attended John Marshall Elementary School, Nolan Middle School, and Pershing High School. She didn't graduate from Pershing, but obtained her GED, and went on to Graduate from Davenport University with her Associate and Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (concentration: Management). After a short break, Ann completed her Master of Arts in Communication (concentration: Film & Television) at Regent University.

Once Ann had finished school and readied herself for a new job with a substantial pay increase, after ten long years of working full-time and attending school part-time, things were humming along like a fine-tuned watch.

I also plan to read, "Dragon Teeth" by Michael Crichton when it's released on May 23rd. Another one on my list is, "The Whistler" by John Grisham. Alright, so I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Every so often I run across a story that is intriguing and heart-felt and honest and beautifully captures the human condition. One is, "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte, and the other is, "From the Corner of His Eye" by Dean Koontz. I reread them both at least once a year.
"From the Corner of His Eye" holds a special place in my heart because a few years ago it was rereleased on my Birthday, May 29th, and Dean Koontz sent me a signed hard cover and paperback copy when I wrote him to inquire about how to submit my copy for him to sign. I, in turn, promptly wrote him again to tell him that he is now the coolest author on the planet!(less)

A Time to Kill by John Grisham
It’s a fragile system, this trusting of lives to twelve average, ordinary people who do not understand the law and are intimidated by the process.”
It still amazes me that we do this, and not only do it, but believe in it fiercely. I once trusted juries and for the most part still do, but I have seen so many bad decisions in wrongful convictions cases that I doubt the wisdom of allowing lay people, and often uneducated and/or unsophisticated lay people, to pronounce guilt or innocence.
