A Boy Called Po Trailer #2 (2017) | Indie Movie
THE TIGER HUNTER — Official Movie
Ben Affleck promises ‘a more traditional Batman’ in Justice League
Justice League will mark Ben Affleck’s second feature film as Batman. Well, technically it’s his third. “Do I get credit for the Suicide Squad gross?” the actor laughs, joking (and underestimating) that he was onscreen for “less than 35 seconds” in last year’s supervillain team-up film. He’ll have a decidedly larger role when DC’s good guys mobilize in the November blockbuster, which unites Affleck’s Dark Knight and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman alongside Ezra Miller’s Flash, Ray Fisher’s Cyborg, and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. (And maybe Henry Cavill’s Superman, if he’s not quite dead.)

That means Batman has to learn to work together with his fellow superheroes. “He’s put in this position of having to reach out, find other people, convincing them to do something,” Affleck explains. “Part of the drama of the movie is the question of whether or not the team is going to come together. It’s very different from the tenor of the last movie.”
And the character is very different, too. “BvS departed a little bit from the traditional Batman,” says Affleck. “He started out with all this rage directed at Superman, because of his coworkers who had died in the fight Superman had with Zod.” For Affleck, most of the hero’s ensuing actions were defined by barely-repressed fury – in contrast to the Batman we meet in Justice League. “He was holding on to a lot of anger, in a little bit of an irrational way,” Affleck says. “Whereas this is a much more traditional Batman. He’s heroic. He does things in his own way, but he wants to save people, help people.”

What’s Exciting To Patty Jenkins About The Wonder Woman Sequel
This summer’s Wonder Woman was the hottest movie of the summer and one of the biggest movies of the year so far. It’s so big that nobody is wasting any time getting ready for the sequel. While some directors might want to do something different before jumping into a sequel, it sounds like Patty Jenkins is excited to get right back into the story of the Amazon superhero. After successfully creating Wonder Woman in her origin story movie, Jenkins is ready to see what Wonder Woman can do when she spends the entire film as the Wonder Woman we all know and love. According to the director…
The greatest thing about making this movie was the fact that you’re really building to the Wonder Woman that we all love, but not until the end of the movie. The most exciting thing about [the sequel] is literally seeing her loose in the world now, living those classic stories. Here’s Wonder Woman, and what can she do? It should be a totally different movie, but a grand and now full-blown Wonder Woman in the world.
One of the reasons that fans love origin stories is that the moment in which our main character truly becomes the superhero we know is a moment of high drama that can look epic on film. However, for that moment to have that great meaning and impact it has to build to that point by starting us out with a character who is not that hero. Diana becomes Wonder Woman on a battlefield in World War I France and it’s one of the best superhero action scenes we’ve ever seen, but part of why it means so much is that we’ve spent half the movie with no Wonder Woman at all.
Patty Jenkins tells ET that she’s proud of having created the movie that saw Wonder Woman come into being, but what’s most exciting about the sequel is that now she can start the story with Wonder Woman, which opens up any number of possible places for the character to go. She makes reference to “classic stories”, implying that perhaps the sequel could be based on some well loved comic book tale, something that really wasn’t an option the first time around. The film had to deal with all the necessary aspects of the origin story. Any other significant plot would have gotten the short end of the stick due to the origin, but now anything is possible.

And because of the character that Wonder Woman is, anything really is possible. Rumors have indicated that the sequel could take place during the Cold War of the 1980s. Due to the fact that Gal Gadot’s character is functionally immortal, literally any time or place is available to the filmmakers. Wonder Woman 2 is currently set for a December 2019 release.

BMW shows off its all-electric Mini concept
The all-electric Mini could blow the bloody doors off the EV landscape, simply by making plug-in power more accessible. That’s why the prospect of a 3-door electric version of the iconic car is so exciting. And now, we’re finally being treated to a decent look at the car itself — well a concept, anyway.
Whereas the Mini Electric Concept retains the looks of its forebears (including the unmistakeable circular headlights), it also carries a bunch of design cues that signify its electric lineage. There’s the silver and yellow color scheme, passed down from the Mini E (an early experiment that formed the bedrock of the BMW i3). Plus, the Mini E badges on the radiator grille and exterior mirror caps are a dead giveaway of its plug-in perks. An additional “E” logo above the front wheel further gestures to its all-electric capabilities. Elsewhere, it winks at its British heritage with one half of an LED Union Jack inside each of its rear headlights.
Notably, the Mini Electric’s 19-inch wheels contain aerodynamic inlays that were made using a 3D printer. The same goes for the recessed surfaces in the simulated air intakes. BMW is not the first company to make 3D printed auto parts, with Daimler and Michelin both respectively tapping into the process. Meanwhile, McLaren’s F1 team is 3D printing everything from flexible radio cables to brake cooling ducts on the fly.
BMW’s been teasing an all-electric Mini (through tests and hybrids) for almost a decade now. Thankfully, the hype machine will roll to a stop in 2019, when the Mini Electric enters production.

Don’t Cry for Game of Thrones’ Littlefinger—He’s Already Found His Next Move
Littlefinger got a—spoiler!—rough surprise goodbye on Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones. But if it’s any consolation, the actor who plays him—Aidan Gillen—has already lined up his next gig. He’s set to play the famed Irish author James Joyce in James and Lucia.
The film will center on the Ulysses author and his daughter, Lucia, a professional dancer who was diagnosed as schizophrenic in the mid-1930s. (Lucia has yet to be cast in the film.) Viewers will watch the last years of Joyce’s life unfold as he writes Finnegans Wake while his daughter’s mental health deteriorates. Its writer-director, Robert Mullan, hopes to portray the heroic struggle that the nearly blind Joyce underwent in order to protect and support Lucia, whose own struggle was heroic in its own right.
In addition to James and Lucia, Gillen also has a role in the upcoming season of Peaky Blinders and will reprise his Maze Runnerfranchise role in the upcoming Maze Runner: The Death Cure as well. The actor has long jumped from one hit show to another, including Queer as Folk and The Wire,so needless to say, he was already prepared to take his next steps. Still, based on what he told Vanity Fair’s Joanna Robinson in July, we’re guessing he may have snagged one small souvenir from the set: “I definitely want the mockingbird pin,” he admitted. As routine as it is for an actor to switch jobs, we can hardly blame him.

Teen posts heartbreaking message before she’s swept away by flood
A teenage girl wrote a heartbreaking final message before she and five members of her family reportedly drowned in a flood caused by a devastating storm.
Devy Salduvar, 16, is feared to have been swept away in the Texas floods along with five other relatives, US authorities said.
The night before she went missing she wrote on Facebook: “No sleep & anxiety, please let this pass sooner.”
A few hours after the post, her great-uncle tried to drive the family to safety when waters caused by Storm Harvey engulfed their van.
Devy’s uncle, Ric Saldivar, ABC 13: “The water picked the van up, and it was just floating after that.
“It went head-first in, and water came in real fast.”

Devy, Daisy, 6, Xavier, 8, and Dominic, 14, are feared to have died along with their great-grandparents, Manuel Saldivar, 84, and his wife, Belia, 81, authorities said.
The children’s mother reportedly went out in a boat in a desperate attempt to locate the van.
The Harris County Sheriff’s office said: “Deputies on Sunday rescued a man from Greens Bayou flood waters, who stated his van with 6 relatives was submerged. Van has not been located.”
The children’s school also paid tribute to the family on social media.

Marvel’s Luke Cage season 2 first look: See Misty Knight with her new bionic arm
Yup, this daughter of the dragon has finally gotten the upgrade that allows her to match her comic-book counterpart: She now wields a prosthetic bionic arm — spoiler alert! — to replace the one the Hand villain Bakuto (Ramón Rodríguez) sliced off in Marvel’s The Defenders. And for those who need a refresher, at the end of the team-up series, Misty wound up recovering in a hospital owned by Danny Rand (Finn Jones) and watched over by Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick).
Clearly, she’s back in action by the time she appears in Luke Cage season 2 — and below, EW has the exclusive first look at the NYPD detective sporting her high-tech enhancement alongside Luke (Mike Colter) and his unbreakable skin:

Marvel, as usual, is keeping details of how and when Misty gets her bionic arm under wraps, but in the comics, Misty’s bionic arm was designed by Tony Stark and Stark Industries after she lost the limb in a bombing. The arm grants her superhuman strength and a slew of other abilities involving energy blasts and gravity fields and even a nifty ability to control robots.
Of course, that’s all comic-book Misty. Marvel-Netflix Misty’s abilities remain to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: She’s going to be a whole lot harder to take down now that her weapon never leaves her side.
Marvel’s Luke Cage returns in 2018 on Netflix.

Drone food delivery service is off the ground in Iceland
Starting this week, you can get your takeout meals delivered by drone — if you live in Reykjavik, that is.
The first drone-based food delivery network to serve a city took flight Wednesday in Iceland’s capital, promising to slash wait times for hungry customers by flying orders directly over an ocean inlet at the town’s center.
“Reykjavik’s unusual topography makes for circuitous routes and lots of traffic jams,” Yariv Bash, CEO of Tel Aviv-based drone supplier Flytrex, told The Post. “We’re offering the ultimate solution for delivery.”
Working in partnership with AHA — an Iceland-based, Grubhub-like online platform for restaurants and retailers — Flytrex expects its drones will cut a full 20 minutes off delivery times for takeout that’s shipped between Reykjavik’s two parts, which are separated by a large bay.
For now, the network is limited to a single route going over the bay. An AHA worker launches the takeout order at a drone hub nearer the restaurant, while another removes it at a second hub nearer the customer.
A second worker then walks or bikes the delivery to its final destination.
Next year, though, Bash said AHA customers will receive their orders from drones outfitted with wires that lower deliveries into their backyards.
Already, Flytrex says a takeout order that used to arrive after a 25-minute car ride can show up in four minutes by one of its drones.
“If you can take off 15 minutes on every delivery, you’ll take the market,” Bash said.
Flytrex’s network, Bash added, cuts the cost of a delivery by 60 percent while simultaneously easing the city’s traffic jams.
As the pilot program’s “Sushi in the Skies of Iceland” tagline suggests, the immediate emphasis is on food. But the partnership with AHA, Iceland’s largest online marketplace, aims to expand more broadly into consumer goods.
Amazon gets credit for the first commercial drone delivery — a TV-streaming stick and a bag of popcorn to a customer in Cambridge, England — in December 2016.
To Bash, though, the Amazon delivery was an isolated incident in a rural area and moved goods less than half a mile.
Bash, who admitted winning regulatory approval in Iceland was “a meticulous process,” believes authorities elsewhere are warming to drone deliveries.
“Once you demonstrate your system is safe — that you’re not using play toys on steroids, they’re happy to work with you,” he said.
