From Sound to Sight
So, second time around I aced the radio performance, thanks to a kindly radio DJ and came out aglow. But the radio appearance (do we appear on radio? if there's a better word let me know) was only the warm-up. Later in the week I have the official book launch at Nottingham's Waterstones. I'm quaking in my literary boots. How many are going to come? Will my speech go down well? Can I survive the evening without getting drunk on the cut price wine? Rabbits on the radio
When local radio invited me to talk about the new book my heart skipped the proverbial beat. The memory of my last visit to BBC Nottingham was freshly etched in my psyche. The DJ 's first question was a curve ball, leaving me like a rabbit in the headlights. So, second time around, would I freeze up or seize the microphone and shine?
