Not a strong mystery. The main character is pretty awful and hard to root for. She is unforgivably foolish, snide, and self-centered. The love interest is extremely creepy with insufficient boundaries and anger issues.

The only thing worse than this title is the flatness of these characters. Finn is cardboard. Lavinia is tissue paper.

I did like that what I thought would be the central conflict was dealt with in the first half. But these people just don't breathe.
