Karen Wyld lives by the sea in South Australia. She identifies as Aboriginal Australian (Martu descendant), with Scottish and Irish heritage. Self-taught, Karen has been writing for many years, but only started publicly sharing her fiction in 2013. Now an emerging indie author, Karen's novel 'When Rosa Came Home' was published in December 2013.

She has created a captivating début book. Borrowing elements from literary fantasy, magic realism and vintage storytelling, the story is unashamedly whimsical, allegorical and thought-provoking. 'When Rosa Came Home' has been short-listed for a People's Choice Award, as part of the South Australian Writers & Readers Festival 2015.
