Raised in a military family, Theresa Linden developed strong patriotism and a sense of adventure. She began writing in grade school and her passion for writing has never waned. Love for faith, family, and freedom inspired her to write the Chasing Liberty trilogy, a dystopian story about a future she hopes never becomes a reality. She is also the author of award-winning Roland West, Loner and Battle For His Soul, two books in the West Brothers series of Catholic teen fiction. A member of the Catholic Writers Guild and the International Writers Association, she balances her time between family, homeschooling, and writing.

Over the years, I've learned about proposed laws, questionable scientific developments, and invasive uses of technology. Developments in morality and ethics do not seem to be on a par. Faith, family and freedom often seem to be under attack. I can't help but wonder where we are headed. As a writer, I don't just wonder. I write!(less)

New Release: Roland West, Outcast

I can't believe the release date is almost here! Outcast is coming out on my birthday, November 17, but I picked this week because it is National Anti-bullying Week. One of the themes of this story concerns bullying, a topic that is personal to too many teens.

CatholicTeenBooks.com has several entertaining and well-written books that also address this theme. Stop by the website in the new year and Read more of this blog post »

“A demon shrieked, “He comes!” The battle paused. A few demons fled without waiting for confirmation. Others lost their edge in fighting, and every one of those that remained came under the control of an angel. The teens knelt. Angels fell prostrate. As Father Carston stepped into the sanctuary, demons begged for freedom, making promises they would never keep in strangled voices too hideous for a human to endure. “Please, please, let me go. I will never torment another soul. Only do not make me look upon . . . Him.” A few demons gained permission to flee but others were forced to remain, to kneel, to watch, to confess, “Jesus Christ is Lord.” With great reverence, Father Carston brought out the Blessed Sacrament for adoration.”
Theresa Linden, Battle for His Soul

“The Tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrant. It is its natural manure.”
Thomas Jefferson

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
Abraham Lincoln

“In many chapels, reddened by the setting sun, the saints rest silently, waiting for someone to love them." These words, penned by an unknown priest, long dead, were the inspiration for my new series on the lives of saints who have fallen deep into the shadows of obscurity. My hope is that, in reading their heroic stories, you will make the acquaintance of some of God's Forgotten Friends. (From the Preface of "Saint Magnus The Last Viking")”
Susan Peek, Saint Magnus The Last Viking

“In many chapels, reddened by the setting sun, the saints rest silently, waiting for someone to love them. (This quote was the inspiration for my series of books entitled "God's Forgotten Friends: Lives of Little-known Saints" of which my latest release is Saint Magnus The Last Viking. Hope you decide to become friends with him!)”
An unknown priest long dead

“A big impossible can be divided into many little possibles.”
