Andrea doesn’t manage to understand what all of them are saying, maybe
it’s one of the fake lives from before. Maybe it’s that fucking joint giving
him another hallucination.
Now I’ll wake up…
It’s not real life; his parents are too routine, too methodical.
Why are my parents not home?… It’s late! We have to have dinner, as
usual.
Now I’ll wake up…
He suddenly fears a sharp boulder in his stomach. It hurts like hell, it’s
cutting his insides. Everything inside him is being violently torn apart. He
squeezes himself with his arms, closes his eyes and kneels. It’s a tremendous
pain.
“Now I’ll wake up…”
The world keeps turning.
And millions of people continue to live with their faces invaded by
laughter and tears.
Yet Andrea stands still.
He feels his face locked in an infamous vise which deforms his mouth like
when he laughs, but with his eyes shut tight like when he suffers. Tears come
out and dance around him in a silent twirl from which there is no escape.
