2019 projects and charity events!

Just finished the first draft of the new sci-fi novel, the third part in the series after The Final Transmission and Assimilation Protocol, and I'm now working on a fun, comedic story about beer vendors at baseball games!

In April, I'm doing the WWF Cn Tower Climb and you should sign up too! Or just click here to donate to my climb! My team is called Climb Scene Investigation, so come join us!

The Santa Speedo Run!

Rose City Comic Con in September was excellent! So was the Trick or Treat show in Toronto! The Toronto Run & Roll Against Violence raised lots of money for the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre too.

Next up, this weekend I've got the Toronto Santa Speedo Run which I'm doing to raise money for Sick Kids, aka Toronto Children's Hospital. It's in Yorkville starting at the Hemingway pub at 1:30pm, snow or no snow! Come out and cheer me on/ laugh at me (or sign up and do the run! Plenty of time left to hit the donation goal)

Trick or Treat! And a charity run!

Whoa, no updates all summer! Took Ghost Cats to Toronto's Fan Expo and to Portland, Oregon's Rose City Comic Con, and Canzine in Toronto as well. Ghost Cats will be at Vancouver Canzine on November 4th with artist Arinn Westendorf at the table!

I'm also doing a charity run on Sunday October 14th! I'll be running 5km to support the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre's Run & Roll Against Violence. Sign up and join me! You don't have to run, you can walk or use a mobility device too. If you'd like to donate to support my run, click right here!

Next up after that is Trick or Treat TO, a fun, spooky market of Halloween/horror/cute arts & crafts, including Ghost Cats! I'll be there working the Ghost Cats table 12-6pm, Sunday October 28th. It's at the Toronto Media Arts Centre, 32 Lisgar, just off Queen West. It's free to get in, so come out and say hi!

New short story in Abandon anthology!

Just got word that a short story I wrote has been published as part of Abandon horror anthology! The anthology has long been in the works, and this is very exciting. The story I wrote for it, "To His Own Devices", takes place after my 2007 film Dark Paradox and centers around a doctor at the fictional Derek Barton Pavilion analyzing a newly committed patient, Barry. The doctor becomes convinced that Barry's hallucinations about the end of the world may have more substance than first appeared, and begins investigating the horrifying rituals suspected to take place in the basement of the hospital...

Here's the Amazon link for Abandon as well as the Smashwords link for the ebook version. Print version coming soon! Hopefully I'll have some copies for Fan Expo!

The Continuing Adventures of Various Characters...

So for anyone who cares, the anthology Group Hex 2 contains a short story I wrote featuring Michaud and Karen from The Final Transmission, as a sort of "prequel" to the events of the novel. My editor long ago suggested that they were too good not to have in other stories, so I took her suggestion and did something with it!

I've also got a short story written that takes place between The Final Transmission and Assimilation Protocol, which I'm planning on submitting to Group Hex 3 when that gets off the ground. Also for this year I'll have a short story in the Abandon anthology featuring a character from a film I made in 2007 (Dark Paradox) and that takes place after the events of the movie and before the events of The Final Transmission. Fun, right? It's like the Brian-verse. ha ha

Here comes summer!

The CN Tower climb was great! I beat my time from last year and even bested my first time from 2016, getting it down to 15:42! Big thanks to everyone who donated to support my climb!

Still working on a number of writing projects, plugging away on book three in the Final Transmission/Assimilation Protocol series, and awaiting publication on a couple short stories.

Also really just looking forward to warmer weather after that horrendous winter!!

Still CN Tower climbing!

So first off, Toronto Comicon was great and a lot of fun! It looked better attended than last year and Ghost Cats did really well at the booth. I'm already looking forward to Fan Expo at the end of August.

I'm still doing the CN Tower Climb in two weeks, and training hard several times a week to get my stair-climbing abilities back to where they were in 2016.

Toronto Comicon this weekend!

Here's a map of where to find me at the Ghost Cats table in Artist Alley! It's table A64. I'm there all weekend, Friday March 16 to Sunday March 18. I'll have new comics, t-shirts, tote bags, plushies, pins, art, and of course my books! So come on by and get stuff, or just say hi. No, really! It gets dull sometimes.

Doing the CN Tower Climb!

Hey friends! I'm doing the WWF-Canada CN Tower climb again this year. Last year, I lost a full minute of time versus my time from 2016, and this year I'm going to train hard and GET MY MINUTE BACK. If you want to do the climb with me, you should sign up. Or just donate a couple bucks by clicking here to sponsor my climb!

2018 Conventions!

Excited to announce I'll be at Toronto Comicon March 16-18 at the Ghost Cats table in artist alley again! I'll have copies of my books, my recent Absurd Monsters zine, and of course lots of Ghost Cats comics, shirts, buttons, plushies, prints, and zines by Ghost Cats artist Arinn Westendorf.

I'm also hoping to make it to the Rose City Comicon in Portland, Oregon September 7-9 again at the Ghost Cats table. We've got our table booked, just have to figure out how to get there...
