Heeeey, so I'm writing a story that I really love, but I've hit a road bump. There's a scene that I have to write that is crucial to the plot, but from a writer's (and likely reader's) perspective, the scene is boring. Do you have any advice on spicing up

Do you have any advice for your writerly friends on this, the first day of NaNoWriMo? I know you plan to post a lot about it during the month, but is there anything special you would like to tell us as we kick this thing off? :D

Hello there, writerly friend!


I certainly have a couple of extra tips for everyone, especially for these first couple of days! NaNoWriMo can be very daunting (even more if it’s your first time) but over the years I’ve found a couple of things that have always managed to help me get through the first (and hardest) days of the challenge~ ♥︎


#3. Breathing Exercises Rock!


When I first sit down to write for the day (and when I come back from breaks) I like to do a very simple deep-breathing exercise....
