My newest series is the Second Chance at Love series. Book 1 - COMING HOME TO LOVE - is currently available. It is a British romance with an unlikely hero and heroine. Hint: this type of story is called a silver-haired romance. Early reviews are gratifying. The second book - KNIGHT TO LOVE - is still a work in progress.

My blog - Moonlight Musings - is where my book reviews are posted along with interviews, guest bloggers, an author's look at life in general. Join the fun!

Also writing contemporary romance (the hot, steamy kind) as L.L. Blue.

With red pen in hand, I begin to read the story - slowly. I'll made edits, changes, etc. Usually that gets me back to where I have an idea of where the story should go next.(less)

Note the way others writers write - their tone, their pacing, etc. What are they doing that you don't like? Second, write every chance you get. Descriptions, dialogue, anything that will help to sharpen your skills. When I first started writing I was working as a temp in the office of a bank branch manager. When things got slow, I would watch the customers as they went about their business and make up stories about each one. It was a fun and easy way create backstories.(less)

Redemption Ranch by Cloe Rowe (Book Review)

When I first read this story (pre-publication), I liked the core story. Author Cloe Rowe has taken two broken characters and given them hope for a bright new future. Summer Benson, daughter of a vindictive father, has borne one-too-many beatings and escapes from his home. Finding a place to hide in what she assumes is an abandoned barn and finds solace in her music. Her angelic voice carries over
