Brain just wouldn’t stop!

Okay, I’m very tired this morning – reason – my brain just wouldn’t stop last night. I had things going over and over in my head and no matter how I tried it just wouldn’t stop. Only good news is that most of it was to do with ideas and plots for books am working on and completely new ones.

I even dreamed about some of it lol. Waking yet again at 2am and not getting back over for ages as ideas and words tumbled about in my head. I tried doing some relaxation breathing but didn’t work so went with the flow and just let them run through and through. Finally got back to sleep but feel very sluggish today.

So got quite a few ideas and characters for upcoming books guys which is good news. Bad news – I probably won’t make much sense today!

What do you do when you can’t sleep? Any and all ideas welcome!

About this author

Shannon Pemrick was born in 1991 in a small city in the Southwestern corner of New Hampshire where she was raised with her younger sister. Thanks to her limitless imagination, she spent most of her days daydreaming about the impossible in hopes it could one day be possible. This imagination sparked a love of the arts that eventually lead her down the road to writing where she discovered her first book idea.

Shannon currently lives in her home town with her Fiancée, three cats, and species confused dog. Experimental Heart: Pieces is her first published book and the first in the Experimental Heart series.

Novel idea and GIVEAWAY!

I’ve just read some advice online from another author regarding reviews. They make the point that although folks may like your book it can sometimes be a bit daunting for them to write a review so they don’t. His way of getting round this is to offer to write it for them! He gets comments on his FB or Website and then will offer to write a short review and email it to them and then all they have to do is log on and leave it!

At first I thought hmmm nope, then after a bit thought hmmm quite a novel idea and wonder if it works? Soooo if there are any of you out there that has read any of my books but not left a review on Amazon or wherever if you would be interested in this then just leave a comment below of pm me on Facebook and we’ll work together!

What on earth happened to that plane?

Is everyone as confused as I am regarding that missing plane? I would’ve thought they had ways to track planes? It all seems a little bit odd and off in my opinion. Surely they can find it?

It must be absolutely awful for the relatives of all those on board. The not knowing must be driving them insane. I know it would me, drive me nuts that is.  My heart goes out to those waiting on news.

Can they not use satellites to check over the entire area for wreckage? I’m sure they have the capabilities to do that – and more – with those things in space. So why don’t they use them to try and find out what’s happened? At a time like this every single country/power should be offering whatever technology they have to help and getting a view from up there must surely be able to help?

If it did crash there would be wreckage, probably over a large area, so surely they can find it. Planes with a load of people on board don’t just vanish into thin air. It’s out there somewhere – I only hope they find it soon.

Back Up and Running!

Hi Guys

The site has been down for a couple of days – and as you all know I’m useless at tech so had no idea how to fix it. I had a lovely online ‘chat’ with David from GoDaddy who gave me a UK number to call for support. Which I called and in no time at all the lovely gentleman in support sorted it – voila! I wish I had the time to actually study all this stuff so I could do it myself but hey – I write – it’s what I do – so I have to say a huge THANKS for getting everything up and running again!

I’ve been very busy – started Sabrina 3 but as am doing some cross over had to start Witch, Wolf, Vamp 3 so that I got everything just right – didn’t want any silly errors lol. As both those are in Vegas I just had to have them crossing over! So until the crossover stops I’ll continue doing the two books and then when it ends I’ll concentrate on Sab 3. If you’ve read 1 and 2 you’ll kinda know what’s going on and you’ll get a wee surprise – or two! Must say am enjoying them immensely!

I need a name though – for the ‘villain’ – any comments or suggestions welcome guys!

I don’t normally do this but!

Hi Folks

I don’t normally comment on news features but my OH just read one out to me and I had to go and check in case he was telling me a fib. BUT nope it’s out there on the net and news – a man arrested for having sex with a pit bull in his back garden and his neighbours repeatedly asking him to stop – he wouldn’t – so they called the cops.

Now – my question is – just what in blazes is wrong with him?! The world seems to have more and more of these kinds of reports and to say they are bizarre is putting things exceedingly mildly. Are these people needing mental health professionals or are they just freaking weird?! I have no idea but I know what I would do if I saw my neighbour doing that – I’d get the bloody water hose out and dose him in very cold water!

Can you imagine letting your kids or grandkids out to play in the back garden to have a neighbour doing something like that? Beyond sick! I honestly thought my OH was trying to make some kinda odd joke but I realised too quickly it wasn’t that at all – I was so disgusted and what about that poor animal! At least Animal Control took that one plus another load of pit bulls from the property.

I sincerely hope the guy gets the kind of intensive help he needs as it’s obvious anyone who does that is in need of some kind of help. Yeuch!!

Good Morning

Hi Guys

A very good morning to you all. If you haven’t already figured it out – I am in a GOOD mood lol. My lovely hubby is taking me to a hotel for the night, we’re going out for a lovely chinese and then after a long lie and breakfast we’re going to the Cinema to see the new Liam Neeson film.

Am looking forward to some alone time, we all love our families dearly, very dearly, but sometimes they don’t think that mum n dad need some time to themselves lol. So off we go and won’t be back til later tomorrow.

I’ve managed to get the comments thingy working, tho any comments go into a wee bit for me to approve first – in case it’s spam or inappropriate in any way. So don’t panic if you do it and it doesn’t show up straight away.

I would love for any of you to comment, ask questions, have some fun with me, so go ahead and comment away.

I started Sabrina’s Vampire, Book 3 yesterday and got couple thousand words done – think you’re gonna like it folks. A few surprises, a few character cross over, and a brand new character that you are going to get to know a whole lot better in his own series!

New Competition Coming Up!!

Okay guys, Witch, Wolf, Vamp 2 will be coming soon – just got to go through editing and then be going live, end of this month, beginning of next month or thereabouts. Sooooo I’ll be doing a competition for an e-edition, either a pdf, mobi or epub – whichever suits, the winners just need to let me know what format they want.

For folks who aren’t familiar with that – it would mean if you have say a kindle – I can email you a mobi and you can then find your kindle email on the manage my kindle page on amazon and then email it to there and it will show up on your kindle like magic!

I will be giving away TEN copies – however – there is a catch! If you get one of the free copies you have to leave a review, at least one and the more the merrier on different sites, of course lol! I’ll keep you all updated on when the competition will start and this one will be a first come first served – i.e. the first TEN to comment on the competition post and PM me your email will get the copies.

So keep your eyes peeled on FB page – though I will give some prior warning that the post will be going live. I will do it for evening time here in the UK so that gives the folks not here the chance to enter.

Working Hard!

I’ve been working hard last few days – my wee fingers are pretty sore. I’ve been going over WWV 2 and getting it ready for my editor. I’ve also been going through Defender’s getting them ready for uploading to D2D site for distribution to Apple etc. It’s great that I’m putting them out for availability elsewhere – opens up my books to folks who don’t use a Kindle to read. Although it took me a while to realise that – I’ve used  my kindle to read for years – although I’ve got an iPad I don’t really use it for reading and therefore hadn’t realised so many folks did. So for all of you that don’t have a kindle the books will be available on places for Ipads, Nooks etc soon. Some already are so have a look see.

Defender’s Blood Alex’s Destiny got a lovely 5* review the other day on .co.uk and once again I got that shot of adrenaline when I saw it. It’s so nice for me to realise that folks like my words, my imagination, my hard work. So thank you kind lady for posting. I know that only a small portion of folks that read actually leave a review so I’m grateful for every single one.
