Some days are just going to be a slog, writing-wise, because not every page can be totally swamped with high adventure or steamy awesomeness. Still, remembering why I wanted to construct that narrative in the first place is a great reminder that if I'm bored or unmotivated, the reader probably isn't going to be excited about that part of the story, either.(less)

Whether or not you're dealing with contemporary narratives, historical, sci-fi, it doesn't matter - you're still creating an entire universe, word by word. At the end of the day, being a narrative engineer is, IMHO, the coolest gig out there.(less)
