My name is Rebecca Maye McNutt. Born in 1998, I'm a student by day, fiction author on the side, trained as a library technician and studying to hopefully be a corporate lawyer or personal injury lawyer one day. My favorite film is The Corporation (2003). I'm a romantic asexual, I'll read and watch anything about the Enron case, I collect New York City memorabilia and I'm a graduate of the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) currently enrolled at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I write mostly horror and since I was twelve years old my books have been published under the name "Rebecca McNutt", my most popular title being Bittersweet Symphony, a story about the impact of the September 11th Attacks. I also design the cover graphi ...more

These people from anything I've seen have been asked time and time again to retell their experiences in full to reporters, filmmakers, talk show hosts, protesters, tourists, the list goes on. It probably gets really annoying and offensive after a while. I do know people who were really affected by it in terrible ways and who lost friends in the disaster, but again, better not to ask about it. (less)

Next month, it will be one whole year since Bittersweet Symphony, a fiction book I wrote about the September 11th Attacks, was published. With that in mind it's getting new cover artwork for the paperback version (being re-released on August 19th), and I'm also giving away free PDF e-copies of the book to Goodreads reviewers. If you're interested in reviewing it and you'd like a free e-copy, ju... Read more of this blog post »

“Have you ever noticed how as an adult, all the bright colors go out of your life? Sounds interesting, I love books that mention Nova Scotia. They can be difficult to find but it's always great to see this province being brought up in fiction. :)

Martin Lee Hi Rebecca,
I'm the author of BLOODY LANE, the book you were supposed to have received by now. Well, it's on its way, my publisher tells me. Sorry that you had to buy one yourself. That said, I'm glad you enjoyed my book, and thanks for your kind words.
Should you ever find yourself in PA or MD, do try to make your way to Antietam, where you can walk the real Bloody Lane. It's a powerful experience!

Happy reading and best wishes,
Marty Lee
