My short plays @Short+Sweet South India 2024 Theatre Festival.
I had no clue I was a playwright – not even by an inch, atom, or iota. But the short film scripts I adapted to 10-minute plays (Fishbowl and Catharsis) have been shortlisted at the Short+Sweet South India 2024 Theatre Festival for directors to direct. 18 such 10-minute selected plays will be showcased this September at Prakriti Foundation.
Dear friends in Chennai, I hope to see you there!
Thank you, Ranvir Shah (Festival Producer), Rajiv Rajendran (Festival Mentor), Meera Krishnan (Festival Director), and Team S+S South India 2024.

Coins in Rivers; Joao Roque Literary Journal 2024
“Two powerhouse writers sat down at Dogears’ Bookstore in Margao on 7 June, 2024, to talk about poetry.”
I have had the most memorable association with the Joao Roque Literary Journal when I was its Poetry Editor, and I am so glad to see its next releases.
This issue also features Heta Pandit, the consummate conservationist and co-founder of the Goa Heritage Action group’s thoughts and views on poems from Coins in Rivers.
Thank you, Selma Carvalho (author of Sisterhood of Swans, Notes on a Marriage) for your literary verve as an author, poet, and constant support in the role of an editor.
Friends, you may read it here.

Book of the Month: Coins in Rivers/The Saligão Balcão.
Heta Pandit is a mesmerizing person. Fun and easy-going. She obviously doesn’t carry the burden of the success of the ten books she has written, aimed at bringing to light the art, culture, and history of Goa.
Living in Goa for 26 years, she co-founded Goa Heritage Action Group dedicated to the advocacy of preservation, conservation, and restoration of Goa’s natural, built, and cultural heritage.
Her lovely newsletter The Saligão Balcão, Edition Twenty Seven mentions Coins in Rivers as the Book of the Month. She was gracious enough to be in conversation with me over my book launch at The Dogears Bookshop earlier this June.
You can read/subscribe to the newsletter here.

Thank you Jayanth Kodkani for interviewing me and to Arunava Sinha at Scroll.in for featuring this.
